Computer Board keeps needing replaced.

I'm glad I purchased extended warranties because six months after the computer board was replaced it's not working again for the second time and has to be replaced. I think Whirlpool is refurbishing defective boards and passing them off as new. I love the fridge but I'm sick of the inconvenience. Also, I don't think it's stainless steel because there are streaks running down the water side that cannot be removed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Storage

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The storage in my new refrigerator is great. It helps to have my foods more organized to increase capacity and them readily available. The lights are bright so things are easily found. I haven't had it long enough to rate dependability. Oh I love the "vacation" mode. Now when my family leaves for long periods of time we don't only set the hot water heater for vacation mode to save energy.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love this fridge

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this fridge a month ago and really love it. It gives us the versatility we needed in a new refrigerator. We really love the separate doors for our produce and vegetables and love that they are a soft-close drawer. The freezer is nice and spacious and gives us plenty of room for all of our stuff. Overall we are completely satisfied with our Whirlpool refrigerator.

Good but be careful with magnets

Love the size and storage of this unit. Only complaint we have is within 24 hours of receiving the refrigerator, we have a rather large scratch in the door. One of the reasons we bought this was because we have kids and like to hang things on the refrigerator. My husband hung a birthday card with a magnet that slid down a few inches, and the magnet caused the scratch. Just be careful what you place on the front. Only flat, vinyl magnets for us here on out.

French doors so much better than old side by side

Our first delivery was this fridge, but the 986 model with two ice makers. We chose to replace that unit with this model that has only one ice maker after the fridge leaked water internally; likely from lower ice maker. We were disappointed with this poor quality and chose to not keep the dual ice makers after reading of similar problems in other reviews.We like the storage and general configuration of this refrigerator. Yet, I think it could use further storage for tall items. One other design flaw is that left drawer which has options for thaw, deli, etc should have some sort of lock feature for cooling option. We have noticed a few times where it has changed modes to thaw by someone accidentally hitting the button that changes the cooling mode.This is our first set of stainless steel appliances so we are still getting used to this finish showing fingerprints and smudges. Just one of those things that will require some extra maintenance.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this fridge a few weeks ago and I couldn't be happier with my choice. I really, really love it. It doesn't take up much more space than my old fridge - it's only a couple of inches deeper and the other measurements are about the same - but it holds a ton more. It is big and bright and I can see everything that I have in there at a glance. I love the shelf that pushes back so that you can have a half shelf instead of full as needed. It's perfect for when I need to put larger items in there. I have two young kids and having the snack drawer is wonderful for easy access. The freezer with the top drawer, bottom section, and pizza box section at the front holds plenty. The ice maker dispenses quickly and easily and there is always plenty of ice. There really is nothing I don't like about this fridge and I would highly recommend it to anyone!
