I purchased the Char-Broil-Classic grill last year It is the WORST grill I ever owned.
There is no way to clean the grill under the burners where all the burnt particles fall.. You have to remove the flavor bars and use a small scrapper to clean it out, A removable clean-out tray or drawer should have been installed...

We're sorry to hear of the issues encountered. How are you normally cleaning your grill? We recommend a nylon brush and warm soapy water or biodegradable grill cleaner. bought my grill and had 2 valves got out on me and had to get a replacement valve assembly under warranty.

This is the best gas grill I have ever used. Easy to assemble. Cooks evenly. The cast iron grates sear the steaks and chicken perfectly. Really a pleasure to cook on.

The grill works….but the hot dog rack, the grates and the heat tents under the grates rusted and we have had this grill 1 month. We clean it with a brush after we use it. It also cooks unevenly. Definitely cooks after in the rear of the grill.

The bottom is not a cabinet - there is no back wall. The metal for the base is more flimsey than I expected (not cheap but not as sturdy as a weber for example) but the grill itself is sturdy. It gets really hot very quickly which is nice. Burners turn on fairly quickly. The space provided for burning is very accommodating for meals up to 6 people at once.
I spent more on this model thinking that the bottom was a cabinet that would protect the tank from the winter. Had I known I would have bought the cheaper model with no faux cabinet. It lights easy and projects heat well (almost too well, sometimes it's hard to open and close the lid because it is so hot over the grill but I suspect this will stop with time) and so I think char-broil is a good brand, there are just better models that they make.
