Bought this for my Sony KDL60W630B. On the plus side it is easy to connect and works seamlessly with certain SONY Televisions. This Subwoofer will add some lower range to the standard television speakers but really that's about it. If you are use to or have heard a home theatre system this will not be anywhere close to that. Don't expect thundering bass for movies etc. I have mine turned all the way up with crossover at 250hz and it is just there barely. So understand its purpose and limitations and you should be happy. Compact size and elegant appearance will look nice next to your TV. It does have to be near the TV. If you try to put it on the other side of the room or behind a chair etc. it will be non-existent.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Picked up open-box 2015 model of this 100-watt cannon for my Sony KDL "W" Bravia. Weighs a ton but what a monster.. in my apartment dwelling have to crank it down to bare minimum #1 on a scale of 12 and still lethal. Can't figure why Sony doesn't promote/market this model more. Are they even producing new models? You'd never know it! On their website, barely an afterthought. Maybe due for an update? Only works with 2014 W/X-series BRAVIA models but worth it.
