High price but higher value

This price is a little high for a powered woofer, considering you can get in to a Blue-ray / audio system for less money.
HOWEVER
having such a streamline and wireless woofer to marry up with the TV which already has quality speakers for a TV (its Sony, they know audio) it really is worth it.
The woofer turns on when the tv turns on, there is no setting to mess with or wires to run and no need for another remote control - perfect for our setup with 3 little kids the woofer can go anywhere and the TV mounted to the wall.
And yes, the audio experience is enhanced 10 fold. what a difference.
Will it rattle the windows and blow your mind with bass - No. Will this conveniently connect to your 60" Bravia, smartly tuck in to a corner and enhance any and all viewing/listening experiences - YES.
Well worth the premium price when you consider the alternative (all the wires, mounting speakers, setting adjustments, and yet another remote control).
I would recommend this to a friend!

As soon as you hook it up to the USB in the back and they link up, you immediately hear and feel the difference in the richness and deapth of the sound. Excellent with action and thriller type movies.

The question is, "How much gear?" and the answer is as much as your siginificant other will allow. We use this unit with the 900B UHD TV and it is a worthwhile addition making a sound bar or worse a 7.1 + systme nonessential.

Adjusting the setups will don't do too much good, so we are force to lower the bass and subwoofer pich. If you like a great bass, then use a "clean" source, and don't have a picky neighbors.

Just What I Was Looking For

I purchased this to go with my KDL40W600B and could not be happier with the product. I think that the virtual surround mode in that TV is great, so I just needed a subwoofer to complete my home theater. This subwoofer is awesome, as it is wireless and a breeze to set up. Just plug in the adapter to your TV's USB port and the subwoofer will automatically connect. The ease of use is what really pleases me, as it turns on as your TV turns on, and the volume adjusts as your TV's volume goes up and down. As a result, you don't need a separate remote. I am not an audiophile by any means, so I can't really compare this product's sound to other subwoofers, but it really served my needs as I was just looking for fuller sound and added kick to my video games, movies, and TV.
