This mandoline is wide enough for most foods, adjusts easily and cuts well. The extra blades are in the unit, pull out to retrieve: this is not clear in the instruction booklet so at first I thought I was missing parts.

Overall it works very well, a couple of times I have caught the plastic of the holder in the blade, but I think that is just me, you need the right pressure and rhythm and then that won't happen. Makes perfect potatoes for au gratin and galette ! Also made light work of cabbage for salads. Very easy to clean in a sink of soapy water, I like that part a lot, as gadgets that take fussing to clean are often not worth using, this cleans up quickly and easily.
