When our old kitchen aid wall unit of 18 years started to look its age, and only the microwave ceased working, we decided to shop for a new unit. We looked at many units, but when we saw the Kitchen Aid, we knew it was the one we wanted.
It is quiet for a convection unit, cooks food well, is bright and has 3 racks!
The microwave is great, heats food quickly and evenly. It is also a convection.

Thanks Kitchen Aid on making a great product. I only put good for ease of use but I should say that my husband needs trained better!

I bought this oven/microwave combo back in May 2014. Install was mid June 2014. By November, the fan/blower was making a noise like a helicopter was taking off. Just got it fixed. Jury is still out on if it will make same noise. I need to cook something tonight to test it out. This is the second out of four Architect appliances that has had to be repaired within a six month period.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

No Lights on Keypad

So far, I like everything about this appliance except that there are no lights on the keypad. Frustating to have to turn on kitchen lights just to warm something in microwave! I assume it doesn't have lights? If it does, mine are not working. My old microwave (another brand) DID have keypad lights. 'Wish this one did!

My huband and I love the oven & micro wave unit. It has turned me into a cook. I tell everyone it is smarter than a 5th grader and I havnt got thru the 3rd grade, Everyone loves how pretty the inside is when you open the door in front of dinner guests.
The food warmer is just as super wonderful. I use it with the oven and M/W and now say I do enjoy cooking. After dinner all my dishes go into my stainless steel dishwasher, it is 14 years old and stil llike new NEW + it does get used every DAY.

The product has the pull down microwave, it keeps the user a distance from microwave, if the door is opened to the side than it is better. The microwave does not provide the sound when the cooking is done, this is inconvenience because the user has to have their eyes on the microwave all the time!
