Gorgeous combination oven but microwave doesn't cook properly, oven takes a long time to pre-heat, and fan on both oven and microwave are noisy and stay on a long time.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This product has great features

I haven't had these long but so far so good. I haven't used all the features yet, and am still experimenting with it. On the pro side, it looks and preforms beautifully. I don't think the book is hard to understand and my food has been cooked to perfection. On the con side, it takes too long to preheat and when using the conventional option in the larger oven it heats the kitchen too much. I have never had a oven that has fans on the inside so I am still getting use to the fan running after cooktime is done until it cools down. The fan also continues to run in the microwave until you cancel it or open the door which is annoying.
Pros: Innovative, Performance, easy to use, Design
Cons: fans runs in the microwave even after cooktime, takes too long to preheat

I love the look, the way it cooks and cleans. I especially like that I can use the top unit as a microwave or convection oven. I cook large meals for my family and this unit has been extremely helpful to cook the meals in a timely manner.

Very happy with this oven

When we upgraded our kitchen, we wanted the best appliances and chose KitchenAid and were not disappointed. This oven combo replaced a perfectly good working oven, however by choosing the KitchenAid 27" Architect II, we were able to do away with our stand alone microwave. The oven is very sturdy, and well designed. I would recommend this oven to anyone re-doing and upgrading their kitchen.
Pros: Performance, Innovative, easy to use, Design, Convenient Features
Cons: exhaust fan stays on too long after cooking ends.

Combination Microwave & Wall Oven

I bought this Combo as a replacement for 22 year old Kitchenaid Combination Wall/Microwave. I love the oven and all of it's features however, because it nearly fit in the same opening as my old one, the Microwave is too high for me to reach all the way to the back. I would have preferred a side opening instead of a drop down opening. If I need to clean it, I have to use a stool to reach to the back. Otherwise it is a great microwave too with some new features.

Great features but slow to preheat

My only complaint is that it takes a very long time to heat my oven while on the bake mode. Much longer than my old junkie oven. It looks very nice and has lots of options (however, i don't like having that many features to be honest).
Pros: Design
Cons: SLOW to preheat

Great Appliance

I bought the appliance about a month ago and have trying various features. To-date I only have one disappointment and that is with the crisper pan. I tried to do frozen French fries as directed in the owners manual and they came out soggy not crispy. I will try again and use my own approach.
