We remodeled our kitchen with all new Kitchen Aid appliances. I used to spend many hours cooking for my family, never getting the chance to visit with them. Now we all gather in the kitchen and cooking is not a chore it's a celebration!

My wife and I purchased this combination oven/microwave and have thoroughly enjoyed the workmanship and precisian of this product. We had a GE before and never realized what we were missing until we replaced it with this.

Great unit. Fits perfectly into the space available to us. Cosmetically superior to any previous ovens we have owned. Microwave and lower oven have wonderful features. I plan to try all the different options. Both heat quietly and evenly.

We've had this oven for about 8 weeks. There's a learning curve since we've never had a convection oven before. First off, it's gorgeous. It is a beautiful oven and makes our kitchen look so classy and modern. I absolutely love the looks of it. So many bells and whistles we've yet to learn yet.
Important: The oven takes around 15 minutes to preheat to the selected temperature, however it is not heated completely although the display says it is. I purchased an oven thermometer and if the oven is preheated to 350 degrees, the oven thermometer says 275 degrees. It eventually gets to 350 but takes around 20-30 minutes longer. From what I'm told, this is apparently normal for "energy efficient" convection ovens. So all in all, preheating the oven takes around 45 minutes to be accurately preheated to the desired temperature. If you buy this oven, also buy a good, reliable oven thermometer. You will need it since you should go by the actual oven thermometer reading and not the display reading.
Other info: 1. After using the microwave and it finishes, the fan continues to run until you open the door or hit cancel. That's a head scratcher because we see no point in that. It's the microwave. It's rather a loud fan too. So if you heat something in the microwave, you need to be readily available to remove it or the fan continues to run endlessly. 2. When you're done cooking with the oven and the oven is off, the fan in the oven will run forever unless you open the oven door to cool off the oven quicker. One night I left it to see how long it would take to turn off and after 40 minutes, I gave up and opened the oven door. Now if you leave the oven door open after turning off the oven, it cools off enough in about 10 minutes or so and the fan will turn off. The fan is pretty loud in the oven too. 3. If you put something in the microwave to heat up say 10 minutes later, the microwave won't start and will tell you to open the door and close it and then you can start the microwave. 4. Using convection cooking browns and crisps food better than using the regular oven. 5. Tools function lets you calibrate the oven temperature. Volume control for alerts or you can turn off sounds. 6. 3 racks with 6 rack choice adjustments.
I really love the oven. I would definitely recommend it but be aware of the preheat issue.
Pros: Convenient Features, Innovative, Design
Cons: preheating issues

Still new- only a few months old. Like features. Inside might be difficult to clean because of coils ( not smooth surface).
Pros: Convenient Features
Cons: takes long time to heat oven.

We bought this unit to replace an old (not Kitchenaid) unit that failed. It fit into the existing opening in the cabinets with only minor work, matched our new Kitchenaid refrigerator beautifully. Oven cooks items much more quickly than our older unit. My wife is very happy with the purchase.
