We have had this for about a month. It has a really nice stylish look in our kitchen and nice features. We are still learning the features since a convection oven is new to us. Thinking now about getting the Dishwasher and fridge to match.

Oven and a half just what we needed

I've long wanted a unit like this, seeing it as most flexible and convenient. I don't know why more haven't shown up because of the convenience.
Of the two units, I use the microwave/convection oven most frequently. I've learned not to bake something in the upper section if I intend to use the microwave shortly. The heat from baking makes it too hot to handle items for microwaving immediately after baking.
Features I love: bread proofing, the BIG glass door for the bottom oven, slide out racks, quick heating, easy to read intuitive screen displays, ease of use, design of a two oven wall unit with the addition of a microwave
Features I don't like: small type face for pad labels, no light for the pads so that you have to turn on your overhead light for a midnight snack (if you turn the button lights on and off, that'd be perfect!), inadequate light to see what you have in the microwave (mainly because of required filter in between glass layers of the microwave door).

Difficult to reach proper temperature

I bought this to replace a Kenmore Elite Combination Microwave and Convection Wall oven that was finally declared a lemon after multiple service calls. This new Kitchenaid oven seems to work better, but the default oven temperature at 350 is confusing, and it takes a very long time to get to proper temperature at 350 and above.

This is the second one of these, the first was defective and wouldn't work. This one seems to be working OK. I expected more from KitchenAid. This replaced a KitchenAid I had for 18 years without any problems until the Microwave went out. I hope this new one will give me the same service.
