Extremely Noisy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this double oven for our new home and I'm shocked at how noisy it is. The fan goes on the moment you turn on the oven and drones the whole time you are baking and then stays on until the oven is cooled down. If I could afford to rip the thing out and replace it I would.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Racks ARE NOT level, its noisy and we had to really work to

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased several KitchenAid appliance for our new home. I've been looking forward to a double oven for years. This purchase is disappointing.
I'm not sure if our situation is unique, but the standard oven racks are not level. They tilt towards the back of the oven. We've had the repairman out twice and have had the racks replaced once all with the same outcome. The two racks on rollers are level. This issue remains open.
Secondly, we were not prepared for the noise level from this appliance. There is a fan that is on all the time and then remains on for a very long time after the oven is turned off. We are told the fan is to cool the inner-workings of the oven. It's quite annoying when you are entertaining and have to talk over your oven.

Finally we had to adjust the heating level of the oven. We did extensive and timed studies of both ovens and found a 60 degree temperature variation. While the repairman said this is normal, I was frustrated that my cakes were undercooked and lopsided (see above comment about racks).

Very excited by all the features, however the monotonous grind of the oven fan for 30 plus minutes after each use drives my family nuts. Definitely going to pursue returning this thing, there are comparable ovens out there that are quiet!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] An aesthetically appealing oven comparable to others that are twice the price! Pre-heat time seems about average for this size oven (we had a Thermador prior). The vent fan does have a low hum which continues running well after shut-off. However, this is not unbearable and does not interfere with conversation or TV viewing. The vent is at the bottom and vents next to some wooden cabinetry below - not sure if this is something for concern. Overall though, we're quite pleased.
Pros: Design, BEAUTIFUL, easy to use

This new oven set has incredibly large oven windows which make it perfect to actually see how your item is cooking. No little porthole to gaze through.
