[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Installed now several months. We get by with only one trash bag a week now instead of 3. Not sure I think the price isn't a bit high, but absolutely love the job it performs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this 5-6 months ago and we love it! We use less trash bags- we are a family of 5 with three teenagers. We go through some trash haha. I really love that it is easy to use and easy to take a part to clean because kids can sometimes throw stuff behind it or they rush and not pay attention. Best money I have ever spent!

Not nearly as good as the old ones

We had to replace our old compactor over the summer. This was "the best" we could find. The coil is so weak, it doesn't open the compactor enough to toss trash in. You have to use your hands to open it, which isn't useful while cooking and cleaning. We even had it serviced to make sure it was installed correctly. Apparently we don't have options for a better appliance. If we could use the space for something else, we would. Should have stronger coil.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

BAD DESIGN

Does not compact. Only pushes trash down lightly for a second or two. Their is no way to compact the trash. To compact trash it must push down on trash and hold. Otherwise, the trash just comes right back up. Unbelievable they would make one like this.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
