[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased 3 months ago. I was under the impression that this unit had the hold feature to compaction but it does not. I have not research to see if the unit was a substitute as we purchased on line form Whirlpool. Overall the unit works well.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great investment

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love our trash compactor. Makes taking the trash easy and less frequent than without a compactor. It would be helpful to have a larger foot pedal to open it and perhaps locating the compacting button so that it doesn't get bumped easily.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The new compactor is quieter but that is the only plus. It is cheaply made , it does not crush and hold it down, It is not going to last 30 plus years like my last one for sure. Made cheaply, cost much more!!!.
