Excellent Shaver for the Price Range

This shaver itself is very well designed and ergonomic, and the shave is very comfortable and close (I have a medium or average beard) cutting shorter stubble and longer hairs with ease and is very quiet. Cleaning the product is very simple as well by washing with warm water under the tap. I found that the battery charged quicker than advertised (first charge, and battery was empty) and holds that charge for quite a while, and can be used while plugged into the mains. Overall it is an excellent shaver.
Pros: quiet operation, shaves close without irritation, well designed ergonomic, battery last a long time, easy to clean, can be used while charging
Cons: would be nice to have a stand/charging station, no travel case included

Better shave than one at five times the cost.

I've been extremely pleased with this new shaver. I'm getting a closer, smoother and more comfortable shave than from the shaver that I was previously using that was five times the cost. My face is not irritated by this razor. My wife likes this razor because it makes me more kissable!
I've been using the razor for about 2 months now. I'm trying to find out how long I can go without recharging the unit. So far, I've gone just over 3 weeks and the low battery light hasn't come on yet. So, no need to take the charger with me when I'm away for a week or two. Great unit and highly recommended.

I have used nothing but Philips Shavers since I was about 20 years old, I am now 79. This last shaver that I bought is by far the best yet, it gives a wonderfully close shave and I am very pleased with it and would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone.

I've been using [Philips] Norelco rotary electric razors for 45 years. This one is only my fourth so the other three lasted about fifteen years each. Usually I've just wanted to upgrade to a newer model. I've never bothered to replace the shaving heads, but the new razor definitely shaves closer. I prefer a dry shave, maybe using a little pre-shave lotion. The pop-up trimmer is a must for me. This model is light and quiet. It didn't seem to run as fast, but it works great for me. It fit okay in the travel bag from my last razor.

i don't believe that the heads cut as well as the old norelco.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Shaving for over 50 years with lather and bladed razor made me very doubtful of acceptable results. What hair I had on my head either turned grey or turned loose (more loose than grey) and I was dissatisfied with using conventional razor. I purchased with low expectations, primarily for use on my hair and not my beard. I was overwhelmed, to say the least. My wife says I've never had as close of a shave. the ease of shaving my head is extremely gratifying. The beard stubble never reappears before my next save - thus no 5 o'clock shadow. Haven't run down the charge yet. I am definitely keeping this one.
Pros: ergonomics, ease of use, cleaning
Cons: manual difficult for old eyes
