great shaves, surpasses my last shaver(Norelco Spectra 8892 XL) by a wide margin; the lighter weight of the shaver makes it much easier to handle. I didn't think much about the water cleanup feature prior to purchase, but it is definitely a plus; I think I get better shaves with a clean shaver. The only reason I gave the performance a good instead of excellent is the trimmer; I'm still using the trimmer on the 8892 XL, it just seems to give a sharper cut. Without a doubt, this gives the best shaves I've ever had.

This product is perfect for my needs. I've used Norelco shavers for many, many years, so when it was time to replace my old one, this one was perfect for my needs. It shaves great, the battery charge lasts a long time, and it does everything I want. What more can you ask for?

A decent, inexpensive razor; blade replacement isn't good

I shave my face and head so a good rotary electric razor is very important to me. This razor shaves my head and face smooth as the palm of my hand. My hair isn't very thick and is fine, so results may differ on thicker hair.
There are two (2) problems with the razor:
1. Head replacement is challenging; nobody seems to carry these heads!
Also, there are apparently several Norelco razors that have the some icon (picture) but the heads themselves are actually different. Was this intentional?!? Who does such a thing? Why would you make different razor heads but use the same icon on them? I have purchased the incorrect heads twice now (change my blades every 6 months) and am very upset. I don't have my model memorized but I do know what the icon is on the razor head (3 parallel lines) but, unfortunately, there are more than one set of heads that use this icon and they are NOT interchangable. Very bad idea guys!!!

2. The placement of the on/off switch makes shaving the head more difficult than it should be especially when I'm shaving the back of my head - my finger keeps turning the unit off. I'd say that, on a daily basis (I shave daily), my razor gets switched-off twice during each shave.
Pros: inexpensive, reliable
Cons: finding replacement heads difficult b/c same icon, on/off switch could be moved

Received my first Norelco triple header from my parents 44 years ago as a college graduation present. Have had several Norelco's since. Really enjoy the PT730 - lightweight, good fit in my hand, close but comfortable shave, very good battery time.
