Love My Roomba!

Picks up dust, dirt, kitty litter, dog hair and dust bunnies like a champ. My only regret is that I didn't purchase one sooner!

Bialy is our third Roomba. After 3 years of good service our 563 died a couple of weeks ago. We had been satisfied with its perforamnce, but little did we know how much they have improved the Roombas. Bialy cleans for us daily, attacking the hair from two Bernese Mountain Dogs. We had thought that our prior model was getting a most of the debris. We were wrong. The 780 picks up a LOT more, nearly filling the bin after every run. The carpeted areas are noticeably cleaner. Because our dogs are long haired, cleaning the brushes and the axles is a daily task. The redesign of the brushes is great! Much less hair collects around them. And I could probably skip a day or two without cleaning them, but since I have to empty the bin, I clean them anyway. This is a great product! I recommend it highly.

Cons: Frequent Maintenance

We have owned it for two years

My wife was initially sceptical but soon learned to use it effectively. We have since bought a Scooba to wash the non carpet areas. Roumba is scheduled twice a week for the living and dining room and is placed in the bedrooms and family room when needed. It makes cleaning of the hair shed by our Papillon something the robot does. The brushes now need replacement, pretty good for the almost daily use. We still use the central vac for large messes and crevice cleaning but would not give up the Robots.

Cons: Can Get Stuck

Outstanding - It really works!!!

I haven't been able to get the remote control to work properly, but who cares? The Roomba 780 has gotten 10 years of cat fur out of my house. It's fascinating to watch as well as being an extremely efficient vacum. My house is slightly over 3,100 square feet so I split it in two with a virtual wall and vacum the front half in the morning and the back half in the afternoon. Maintenance is really easy and the error messages tell you specifically what is wrong. Now I just hope that I don't wear it out.
Pros: Easy To Install, Easy To Use, Extends Functionality, Inconspicuous Design, Increases Performance

I love my Roomba!!!

I got my Roomba who is now named "Coleman" in August right after I had all the carpeting pulled up and porcelain tile installed throughout the entire house. Since then, I have been relying on Coleman to do the daily dusting of the floor and area rugs. I love this little guy. He does a very thorough job. I own a cat who loves his nightly dose of catnip. Coleman cleans up the tablespoon of catnip that is left on the rug and gets up all the hair and grass that the cat tracks in. I would much rather take 5 minutes a day to clean Coleman than have to sweep, vacuum, and/or dustmop daily. He even cleans under the bed!
Pros: Easy To Install, Easy To Use, Torments the spoiled cat

We owned the unit a little over 2 years. In that time we have replaced the cleaning head 3 times. The first two were under warranty, the third was $60. The second one only lasted 6 months. That is $10 per month in replacement parts.
Pros: Cleans Effectively, Hassle Free Operation
Cons: Can Get Stuck, Does Not Clean Stairs, Frequent Maintenance

BEST CLEANING ROBOT ON THE MARKET

Great product from a great company. i did a lot of researchs on a robotic vacuume and this one was the winner. i had another brand before (bobsweep),which i returned after a few hours of using. but Roomba 780 is something else. it works well every morning on its own. i love it. and im thinking to buy another one just for the bedroom.
