Best thing I have bought in years

I rarely write reviews but this little machine is unbelievalbe. I just got it last week and already we are best friends! Truly the best thing i have bought in years. it works just like advertised. push a buttom and go get a cup of coffee and read your paper. I'm telling everyone about it. It's not loud like normal vacuums, and it doesn't chew up cords or my small area rugs like normal vacuums. I have a 3700sf home with both carpet and hardwood floors and area rugs it does an amazing job cleaning around everything. and it does hold a lot of dirt. My dog is shedding really bad now and it did a fabulous job. The first time i worked it to death, now i just hit the remote "clean" at night when i go to bed and it does the job and goes back to its charger. I think everyone should have one! I just wish i bought it sooner.

I have clean floors all the time

My Roomba 780 vacuums my floors every day at 10:30 AM. It covers my entire 4,000 sq. ft. home each day. I have a house cat and bought the top of the line. The cat belonged to my mother who is deceased and is the first house pet we have ever had. She was my mother's love and I adored my mother, however, a couple of years have passed since mother's death and I doubt I would still have this little fur ball if it were not for my wonderful Roomba. I have had my Roomba for a year now and am constantly amazed that it cleans my entire house each day. Every morning when it leaves its dock it never goes in the same direction, the Roomba seems to have a mind of its own and keeps my floors company clean. I have several friends who would like a Roomba but hesitate because of the price tag, trust me, it is one of the most valuable appliances you can own. I would not live without my Roomba. Buy one and be happy! I purchased my Roomba from iRobot because I was able to see and read about all models available. I received the Roomba within 2 days by FedX in perfect condition. There were quick setup instructions.
Pros: Easy To Install, Easy To Use, Extends Functionality, Inconspicuous Design, Increases Performance
Cons: Haven't found one

This robot is A beast!

My wife and I absolutely love this robot. First off, I named him Wall-E. It didn't take long for the iRobot to get here. Everything went smooth in regards to purchasing it and it getting shipped here. The first day my wife and I used it we were just following it around, well mostly me lol. At first we had to empty out the bin a lot, but that's just due to the hair from the animals that was already on the floor. Immediately using the iRobot we noticed a huge difference on our floor. Now keep in mind that our entire house has wooden floors, we didn't have any kind of residue on our feet from walking on the floor. Now we have 2 cats and a Doberman. This dog sheds a lot and so do the other two cats! Anyways, the iRobot was easy to set up and it really didn't take long for Wall-E to get to work. My wife and I did a lot of research on YouTube and other forums on how the iRobot's performance. I mean this involves a lot of money and money doesn't grow on trees. We had a bad vibe about Wall-E getting stuck because we heard a lot of bad reviews about that. So what we did was 2 days after we got wall-E we went to Georgia for 4 days and let Wall-E on a schedule to run every day. Well to make a long story short Wall-E didn't get stuck and he was fully charged and ready to be run!! Keep in mind that we have rugs throughout the house and they were all folded up from Wall-E trying to run over them. So if you are worried that Wall-E will get stuck, DON'T! P.S We have cheap rugs so that's the reason why the rugs were all messed up.

Is your house or room clean? Please read

Is your or house clean? To be honest I thought my room was. Vacuuming everyday you think the floor would be clean, with a name brand vacuum I might add. After thinking about the new Roomba 780 I said to myself I'll try it, few days later it was here. Out of the box I'm thinking is this a vacuum or a piece of art, the design is beautiful for a vacuum . After I unpacked everything and set up the home base I charged it overnight. The next day I hit the clean button, watching the robot vacuum I'm thinking the bin might have a little dirt in there when it gets done. After 20 or 30 minutes I used the remote to stop it,after I removed the bin I didn't know what to say, the bin is 3/4 of the way full, wow completely shocked. Dumped all the hair, dirt, dust and everything else in there in the trash hit the clean button again, it finished the room and docked before I removed the bin again. Removed the bin again half full. All I can say is I was wrong, Roomba 1, me 0. I watched the whole cleaning process there was no carpet it didn't clean, along the walls, behind stuff I never cleaned but it did. I can go on and on about this thing.I can say you will love this thing if you try it. The first time you empty the bin you will be shocked at the results. Highly recommend the Roomba 780 to anyone. Now I can sit on the sofa watching TV vacuuming at the same time. Thanks for reading this and get one for yourself or family member or both you or they will love it.

I Love This Thing It Changed My Life

My housekeeper stopped working and I started vacuuming. I hate vacuuming. So I bought this Roomba. It has changed my life completely. Our home is cleaner than it ever was with a housekeeper, because it is vacuumed every day or every other day rather than weekly. In fact, the first 5 or 6 times I used the Roomba I was horrified at how dirty our home was! Now the bin doesn't fill up very quickly. This is a 3 story house with approx 2500 square feet. I use the lighthouses between room areas, as it seems to work better, and the floors get cleaner. The one drawback is that our home has old fashioned radiators, and the Roomba gets stuck (at least once a day) underneath them and has to be moved. But it's worth it to me. I'll never vacuum again. Our hardwood floors are shinier than they ever were, and the carpeted level is not dusty anymore. I no longer wake up coughing from asthma. We may buy another one for convenience to be using them on two floors at once! Great machine. I hope it lasts. We've had ours 6 months.

Far better than expected

It does an OUTSTANDING job of cleaning. Expect to run the unit daily at least for the first few weeks until it catches up with cleaning. We have a very large house (6200sf). Even with the 2 lighthouses, the Roomba shuts off in various rooms and cant find it's way back to the charging station. I would have liked to see a few options; 1 - multiple charging stations. I would put a few in the further ends of the house so it could park and charge. 2 - A signal system so when it shuts down under a bed because it lost power, the remote would cause it to emit beeps to make finding it easier (needs a little power reserve)
Pros: Cleans Effectively, Cleans Under Furniture, Deep Cleaning Ability, Quiet
Cons: Very Costly

No hair left behind

I finally bit the bullet and purchased my Roomba 780. It has changed my life! I was hoping it would end the need to vacuum my apartment daily thanks to my bulldog, whose white hair left a shimmery layer on the wood floor by the end of each day. IT IS FANTASTIC! The Dyson I previously had to haul out each day is now just taking up room in my precious, limited Manhattan apartment closet space and I may just sell it! Roomba is actually better than the Dyson because it fits under all my furniture- no more dust bunnies under the bed! It sweeps all the dog hair up from the wood floor and the carpet. Cleaning it is simple and I love that you can just replace individual parts if needed. I LOVE MY ROOMBA! IT IS WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!

780, Man's Best Friend? BYE Electrolux

This is my Third Robot.... I started with the Discovery 4100 purchased through the Sharper Image. I've had several components replaced including the Battery and it is still going strong. After having the 780 for two weeks, it developed a glitch, did not want to Dock. Customer service through IRobot was GREAT. Sending me a new CORE Robot after trying some trouble shooting at NO Expense to me. My wife no longer takes that Noisy Electrolux out to punish me late at night due to a couple of Terrier Hairs she spots. IRobot 780's Amazing Job picks up Dog Hair & Dust/Dirt, almost invisible to my Wife's Hawkish Eyes in spite of fact that our Housekeeper who visits every Friday has been gone oless than 24 hours. I'm glad I dealt direct with IRobot directly and registered my 780 which I purchased at a Killer Deal using my 4100 as an upgrade. AND I was still allowed to keep ol reliable which I also use for cleaning our patio. What's a real kick is turning them both on and having them work like a Wolf Pack or Lion Pack going after that Pit Bull and Rat Terrier Hair.
