Dark Wood + Cat = Now Always Look Great!

My condo is 1200 sq ft and my Roomba goes everywhere including under beds. It never gets stuck - it outmaneuvers cords, cables, rugs (really!). It easily crawls from wood floors to carpet (in the bedrooms) to ceramic (bathrooms). It gets in small spaces - there's a little whisk like device that inconspicuously sticks out and spins while the Roomba taps around in the space whipping dust and pet hair into submission. It's gentle on furniture (slows down a bit before nudging anything in it's way). I'm completely amazed. My dark wood floors look fantastic, everyday. It really does work. Now I really want the floor washing Roomba.

Great Gadget

We live with 3 kids 2 cats & one dog. The Roomba 780 really helps reduce the amount of hair & dust in the house. It doesn't completely replace manual labor but it adds so much to the daily Maintenance that I would dearly recommend it. It's a great independent vacuum cleaner, easy to transfer from floor to floor or different sections in the house. It's a very nice household helper, I'm always amazed by the amount of schmootz it collects every time I empty the collector tank.

Seriously awesome!!! I ordered the 780 Monday (my x-mas gift to myself) and it arrived early Wednesday, the quick delivery was amazing in itself. It was so easy to set up and came with replacement parts for everything which is great. I let it charge fully and turned it on...the amazement began... I have two cats and besides hating vacuuming I don't have a lot of time to do it because I work a lot. In addition the cats are scared to death of the regular vacuum and I hate stressing them out every time I vacuum..but, I also hate having cat hair all over the place. I heard roomba was loud but honestly it's not bad, I was on the phone for 20 minutes with a client and they couldn't even hear it in the back ground. Plus, the kitties aren't afraid of it, except for when it comes after them, haha. Anyways, it's been cleaning for a couple hours now and I've had to dump the container twice already but I expected that initially, especially cause he's getting under the bed, couch, chairs, etc...all the places I never get to. It's amazing how it finds its way around and learns the walls, very intuitive. I don't think there's any spot he hasn't gotten too yet and he definitely spends more time in certain areas that must be dirtier. My carpets truly haven't looked this good since they were new! Best part, I don't have to do the work!!! I highly recommend this product to anyone and everyone! It may seem expensive but think how much it would cost to pay a person to come vacuum your house every day, totally worth it...especially if you have pets and/or allergies. Clean floors and carpets all the time with no work...no brainer!!!!

The Roomba 780 is one of the best vacuums I've ever owned! Does all the work for you! Vacuums the whole house by itself at the scheduled times you set. Vacuums all of my carpeted, tile, wood flooring surfaces, under, behind, and around all of the furniture, up to seven times per week. This is the second Roomba I have owned, and I would highly recommend this product to anyone who likes set it and forget it convenience. Keep up the good work!

The greatest invention of all time!

If you truly hate to vacuum, and I detest it, this is for you. I have 2 cats and 1 dog, and in 2 days there would be hairballs all over my tile floor throughout the house. Now I just put the lighthouses in place, push the button, and let it go. It goes right under most furniture and around chair legs. I use it every morning while I'm doing my morning things. If the charging station is in the area inside the lighthouses, it goes back to it's charging station, but if it's outside of that area, it stops in the room it's doing. Just now, it stopped under the couch, and I've got to rescue it, but that's not a real problem. I find that it does better if you use it every day and limit it to one area at a time. I'm ordering another lighthouse, because my house is open, and I need a third one to properly contain it. It doesn't replace heavy vacuuming, but I have a housekeeper for that once a week. It does keep the floors presentable, though. I haven't used it on carpet, and I haven't used the remote or the scheduling functions--I just haven't found them necessary. The only improvement I can think of would be to have it go through the lighthouses back to the charging station when it's through with an area outside the charging station area. Overall, I am thrilled with it!

The 780 is a workhorse! I have two white short hair dogs that shed terribly and I have handmade carpets throughout the house. Since "Hazel" arrived my floors never looked so good. I use it on carpet, hardwood, tile, and linoleum.

I love the fact that I can just start my day without having to worry about getting my floors cleans. My unit is scheduled to clean every day and I'm always amazed at how clean my floors are, when I reyurn home from work. I think this is the best invention ever!!!!!!! Thinking about getting the 790 soon.

I bought the 780 as I read it caught more hair in the bin and less on the brushes. This is definately true and it is MUCH easier to clean as much less hair ends up on the brushes and there are no bearings that the hair can get caught in. I still love my 580 (3yrs old-revived with new battery and still going strong) but he now cleans our patio where there is less hair.
