This vacuum has changed my life!

Our home inhabits three dogs, 2 young children, and 2 adults. Our dogs are year long shedders and I volunteer for a pug rescue, so we get a lot of doggie traffic here. Sweeping myself was time consuming and like chasing my tail (pun fully intended) each day. Now I have my roomba run in the am and the early evening and my floors are clean! Best thing is my dogs totally ignore it! We thought for sure one of the dogs would get upset by it, but they don't. They walk around it and my bulldog will move out of it's way as it rolls towards her. I have only had it ~ 2 weeks, but if it lasts, it will be my absolute favorite product of all time! The debris bin could be larger, but for all of the work it does, I do not mind emptying it a few times. I highly recommend it!

I literally got this out of the box, turned it on & pressed clean & off it went. The stuff this vacuum picked up out of my carpet was incredible (& a little gross). I love, love, love this vacuum & wouldn't hesitate in recommending it.

No grit underfoot anymore! Floors are SO clean. Better than upright vacuum. But companion product Scooba is difficult as it needs 'babysitting' is not intelligent and short battery life. I do love Roomba though.
Pros: Easy To Use, Inconspicuous Design, Increases Performance, Intelligent design, No grit underfoot, Picks up dog hair
Cons: No longer docks

Its so convenient to have. It blows me away how well it cleans the floors. A guy at [...] told me that the roomba doesn't do a good enough job to get rid of your upright vacuum. He was completely wrong! This is my first roomba and i love it
Pros: Does a great job cleaning, Easy To Use, Extends Functionality, Increases Performance, Saves time, To smart for wires, Vacums under bed
Cons: Kinda loud watching tv

I like her (my Roomba is female) for many reasons -- she cleans very well, she's convenient, she saves my back, and she is independent. When she is done, she goes back to her base. If she has trouble, she beeps for help. Also, she will not overfill her dust bin so I don't have to worry about that. I do not know why I waited so long to get one.... Very helpful item to have.

We got this product b/c we have 2 labs that shed quite a bit. The 780 works well, but seems to get stuck a lot. It also has a hard time with rugs. We've yet to have a complete run where it takes itself back to its dock when done. Also doesn't do well with multiple rooms. Our house is not a simple box.
Pros: Convenient, Easy To Use
Cons: Bad for multiple rooms, Gets wedged under things, Noisy

Convenient. Pet friendly. SAVE your money and don't bother to get remote--I've had two remotes and a new unit sent and the remote feature to guide the machine DO NOT WORK.

Lousy performance! Sent mine back.

So when my new Roomba was doing a lousy job (going over and over areas while leaving dog hair and dead bugs behind) and needing so much attention to keep the bin empty, the brushes clean, and the unit unstuck, I called customer service. I happened to mention that my great room measures 33 x 31 and the woman said, "Oh, well, it's not designed to handle a room that big." Well, where in all your marketing does it say that? She recommended I try using a lighthouse back to back with a wall to try to fool Roomba into thinking it was a smaller room. It didn't work. I called back. The guy said, "Yeah, well maybe if you buy more lighthouses--but there is no guarantee it will ever work." It was like having a toddler that needed constant attention and diaper changes.
Cons: Can Get Stuck, Doesn't handle big rooms, Frequent Maintenance, Noisy
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
