Don't buy

The product died after 2 and a half years. I took very good care of it so there was no reason for it to die. And I paid a decent amount of money for it....Very unhappy with Phillips products. They don't last.

Unbeatable Value

This is a great TV at any price, let alone the very reasonable amount I paid for it. On-screen setup is a breeze with a very user-friendly interface and an uncomplicated remote with hotkeys for Netflix, Youtube etc.. Picked up the wireless network quickly and easily. Picture quality is very good indeed. All in all, a great device!
One tip for home theatre 5.1 users - to get Youtube sound you need to set the TV sound output to PCM rather than Bitstream.
Pros: performance, ease of use, excellent value proposition

I don't have cable so I use this TV for games and streaming. The WiFi connection is really weak, and it only works on 2.4ghz which becomes an issue when there's a lot of people in the same wireless channel. On a good day, I only get about 1/5 of my internet's speeds on this TV which is barely enough to stream at high def. The last software update was in the beginning 2015. Not only are there no apps, the old ones that came with the TV are in need of updates. Netflix for instance changed it's rating system, so the app on the TV doesn't show proper recommendations. The controller is hard to see. It is completely symmetrical If you're watching TV in a dark room it's hard to use; there's very little difference in the buttons. It does have nice picture and sound, that is true. However, there's a reason I bought a SMART TV, and in that sense this one is lacking.
Because of the lack of support and updates, I will be looking into a different a brand when I update my TV. This one will go into a bedrooms somewhere to be used once in a while till the apps are so outdated and stop working.
Pros: nice picture and sound, nice and simple design, controller has a button for netflix & vudo
Cons: can't download apps, no updates in years, weak wifi antenna

I bought this tv about a little less than 4 years ago and I'm still using it. Resolution and sound quality is amazing. Everything works great. I only have two issues so far. First the remote stopped working last year and second Netflix blacks out sometimes when it continues to a new episode. Other than that this tv has been great.
Pros: display resolution is amazing
Cons: software updates needed to fix netflix blackout is
