Forgotten TV with useless apps and no updates to fix it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] when I first bought this unit and set it up half the apps were useless the app portal is a joke the only real services it has are Netflix vudu and youtube if you want to use hulu or amazon video you have to run them from another smart device like a blu ray player. I have no doubt an update could fix all of my issues with this tv but there never are any. it will be the last phillips product I buy
Pros: nice picture on what you can watch
Cons: outdated apps that dont even work anymore, no updates to fix it or updates to the store
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great TV for the price!

All things considered, it's a pretty good TV for the price I paid. I was able to swap it in for my old TV in under a half hour, which includes going through the setup. Good picture quality, decent sound, and looks great when it's off too.
I only have two issues with it:
-No Hulu app? Or Amazon, etc? C'mon! Gimme that update!
-The MediaConnect computer screen sharing functionality is Windows only! The TV itself isn't Windows, it runs Linux! What about Linux and OSX? Or maybe even for mobile devices?

Only one update and it had to be done manually through USB. No addon apps worth having. Miracast has NEVER worked

Only one issue doesn't offer options to download more apps. I.e. Hulu,

Yeah its not the best TV but for the price it beats all the other TVs at this price.. love the design and how the graphics look while playing Xbox One. Great job.

Purchased the TV mostly based on advertised sound quality, it proved to be true. Set up was easy with good picture quality.

The only challenge is that the auto ratio does not compensate for different channels. Some are outside the view and some are chopped off top and bottom.
