Whirlpool Combination Washer/electric Dryer

I bought a 24" washer/dryer unit which is not as sturdy as my previous 27" unit. Also I don't like how the dryer door opens left to right. When I asked delivery person who set up the washer/dryer unit to change way door opened, it could not be done

Cleaner Clothes!

My old unit was original to the house (1992) and parts were no longer available. When it started leaking rusty water, it was time to replace. I chose the Whirlpool based on its dimensions, but it turned out to be a great little set anyway. It is a bit noisier than my OLD one, but maybe it is working harder to get my laundry clean. I wash and dry most clothing on the delicate cycle and its great that the dryer will run until the clothes are actually dry, based on my choice of setting. I didn't have that choice on the old one and would often have to run it again 1-2 more times. I also appreciate that the surface of the washer when closed allows for more storage of items. I only have a very narrow utility closet. The installers knocked the round metal piece out of the side for the dryer vent hose to go through, otherwise I could not have closed the closet door (with it going through the back). It was very difficult to knock out. My old one had a plastic snap-out cover, which would have been preferable. Overall I am very pleased with this unit.

Good stuff comes in small packages

I just bought this stackable set to replace an antiquated Magic Chef set that died on me (over 20 years old). It is attractive, runs quietly, and does an amazing job with both washing and drying. I used to have to wait an hour for my clothes to dry. With this bad boy, 15 minutes! I love this thing! Way to go Whirlpool!!

Compact and Convenient

What can I say, this unit is perfect for my small pantry. Removed door trim and slid into my pantry. Perfect for a bachelor.Only good things to say about this unit after a year on the new one which replaced one 20 years old. This is my second unit. Highly recommend this unit.

Disappointing

The only good thing about this unit is that it fills water from all sides, which means it fills quickly, and that it has an agitator.I get annoyed every time I wash which is 3 x a day because this tub and dryer are so tiny. I feel like I'm wasting so much electric and it is so loud.I can barely open the dryer door because the handle depth is so small and shallow.If I could afford to give this away I would. It will be replaced as soon as I have the $$$. It doesn't spin very dry and the dryer doesn't dry well.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
