Prefer this over TurboTax

Took advantage of the HRB free tax software offer this year. I had already bought TurboTax. Completed my taxes using TurboTax, then completed them using HRB. Both packages computed the exact same return. So all things being equal, I definitely preferred HRB tax software. Seems like the HRB software is more streamlined, efficient and less confusing. Preparing my return with HRB was extremely easy.
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to fix issues, Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import, Fast
I have been using H&R Block software for about 14 years and each year it seems to get easier, probably partly my learning curve and partly a constantly improving product.
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to prepare, Easy to import, Fast
This ise thisr th (a good example of result of text data entry). I am very disappointed in the usability of this program. I hope it correctly prepared my returns. Most of the display windows are too small to read all the text which gets truncated and user has no way to scroll or expand the panel. The pay_tax_by_credit_card said page can't be displayed and trouble shooter couldn't id the problem (I have 3 browsers but won't use IE). State return offered no display of summary of return until I printed for filing. Very clunky and inconsistent interface. Can't get to print functions before finalizing return
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to prepare, Easy to import, Fast
The program not only guides you but, also, gives in-depth details for each section should you have additional questions/concerns. Plus, the 'scan pdf' feature to read W2s is a great timesaver!
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to fix issues, Easy to prepare, Easy to import
HR Block has always been Solid at the core competency of Tax Filing. The UI is starting to seem both Dated and Obtuse - far too many Menus in an age of Popouts and Pages. And the support for peripheral elements such as PDF Printing (insists on installing a 3rd-party PDF product when Windows10 has native PDF support) and Backup Copies (no acknowledgement of Cloud / Internet Drive storage) is positively Outdated.
