Been using TurboTax for years. Purchased H&R Block this year primarily because of the cost difference. I was a bit concerned about the functionality of the software. It turned out to be great. It imported all my TurboTax information from last year and provided a smooth and seamless workflow to completion and filing. I will definitely purchase it again next year.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents, Fast

Good software for personal return. Interview process is pretty straightforward. Input info based on what is asked. Using it since 1998 when the program used to be called Taxcut
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents

I had to purchase this twice because the first one didn't let me download the software. Other than that, I like this software because I am so used to it. I have been using this for more than 10 years. If the download issue happens again, I will stop using it, but I let go this time.

The new format is very confusing from last year. My pensions and income used to be first as in the past. Now other forms must be done before I even come to it. Some information could not be imported and had to be entered manually such as SoFi Bank.
