Data collection and processing seem accurate and thorough.
User interface stinks. Shows signs of long term under investment and is so bad it is insulting.
Some examples
Allow complete navigation from everywhere to everywhere. Every page hyperlinked and indexed, including the pages added by user e.g 1099-INTs).
For data entered from a form, allow entry to follow the form exactly. E.g. "is SEP box X'd" to be in line with entry for Box 7, not on a separate page.
For "overpayment to be credited to next year", provide an All option and recalculate amount as needed.
Provide means to enter, summarize and review all income in one pass. E.g. 1099=INT, 1099-R, 1099-SSA, foreign income -- I don't care where it came from. Summarize like a spreadsheet, with gross amounts and amounts withheld or credited. For foreign income, show amount credited from the appropriate worksheets.
Would be nice to do the same for deductions, but that affects me less.
Publish format for and provide means to import all or partial data from one or more ASCII text files. I can create them from last year's data in 1/4 the time it takes to groan through the interview.

I have used HR Block for a number of years and have been basically pleased . I am a retired minister and the software didn’t ask me about using my pension as a housing allowance, which is not taxable.
