No one loves a bad surprise. When searching for my brokerage this year I was shocked to find it missing from the download menu to import my 1099 forms. While this may have occurred with other institutions as well, I still hold HRB at least partially at fault because this should have been worked out or engineered to perform as in prior years. I am an active trader and this caused me an enormous headache and anxiety to manually enter the large number of trades and data from the various accounts and forms. The rest of the software performed as usual - but this glitch was a real disaster for me.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Fast
Cons: Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
