Ok program, plan to purchase again because it does not require the most recent version of windows.
It needs improved on asking about and calculating investment income that is tax exempt as a percentage of the fund.
It needs improved on providing estimated quarterly tax payments for Federal and State.

Easy to use, instructions for changes need clarity

What I have always liked was them ease and convenience of doing my taxes with H&R Block. As the specifics in tax laws and regulations change, I am always concerned but from what I submit you guys seem to be accepting so I must be doing something right. On this one I owed a considerable amount of taxes and requested someone to reach out to me as I have voluntarily added more to my federal withholding for this specific reason. One of the options on 2025 spoke to overtime Which I believe should’ve been explained a lot more.

My return was rejected by the IRS shortly after I submitted it but I didn't know that because I did not notice the rejection email from HRB until I went to check the status of the submittal.

I have used TurboTax for nearly 20 years. Though it's gotten easier to use, it's also become very expensive and has long-since dropped the option to view the actual tax forms. I found H&R Block's software just as easy to use and the price-point and simple access to the IRS forms convinced me to use it again next year.

Annual exercise in frustration -- do better please

The application is basically unchanged from years ago, with no functional enhancements. With the magic that current AI bedazzles you with, you are stuck with something that seems like it was written in COBOL. I again had repeatable crashing in the same place via interview, so unable to move past this, I had to finish my return adding data directly to a form. The user interface is poor. Jumping within the interview to organically add data throws you back to intro panels that you have to repeatedly step through. I would love to find an alternative tax sw that is not so limited and frustrating. It is 2026, why is it hard to update a simple accounting program?
