The best electric shaver I have used.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Philips i9000 Prestige Ultra (model XP9400) is a premium shaver with a color LCD screen and is surprisingly lightweight. It weighs only 8 oz and feels great in the hand. I’ve been using it for a little over a month and really like it. It just works well. I can pick it up, do a quick shave, rinse it, and put it back in the case without any effort. I tried all the modes (sensitive, regular, intense, foam, custom), and once I found the one that worked best for me, I stopped using the other modes. It feels very comfortable and glides smoothly across my face with a light vibration. The shave is very close and clean. The flexible head contours to the different angles of my face for an efficient shave.
I like that it has a feedback light to show if you're applying the right pressure. After I got used to it, I didn’t rely on the light as much. It’s very easy to clean, and you can order replacement parts if you plan to use it long term like I do.
There is also an app that connects to the shaver. I mainly used it to turn off the bright light on the charging case and to set up the custom mode. It also gives feedback on your shave but after I got used to the shaver, I stopped using the app.
I really like the UV charging case. It sanitizes the shaver, charges it, and doubles as a travel case. The design is excellent. The battery lasts a long time and charges quickly. It came with a precision trimmer head, which you need to swap out the head to use. I didn’t find it useful for my needs, but it's great if you need to precisely trim your beard. It includes a USB charging cable but no power brick.

Quick close shave

The color changing LEDs are nice, telling you when you are going to fast or slow or using to much pressure. Very portable with an included charging and sanitizing travel case. Definitely recommend this razor.

Amazing shaver!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I stopped going for the clean shaven look years ago. Every 2-3 days I’d use just a trimmer to maintain my stubbly look. A big part of that was the inconvenience of a proper shave. My most recent shaving routine was with a blade and creams. It’s nice, but messy and time consuming. I hadn’t used an electric in a few decades and the last one I owned was a foil. Every attempt with a rotary back then would leave a few hairs that it never seemed able to get despite dozens of passes.
This Norelco Prestige shaver is 100% my new shaving system. It is so easy, convenient, and actually gives me, with my corse beard, a very high quality shave. I thought some of the features were a bit gimmicky at first, and to some extent I still do. I don’t really *need* a shaver that connects to my phone, but some of the capabilities have been helpful. It has a light that when correct pressure is being used for example. Turns out my instincts were to use way too little pressure.
So, how does it actually shave? Outstanding! I do still get the occasional trouble whisker, but unlike my previous experiences an extra few passes cleans them right up. Even if I skip a few days, and my beard grows very fast, this can handle things no problem. The shave I get is close to a blade, but I won’t say it’s the same. As someone prone to ingrown hairs that’s actually perfect. My face looks smooth and clean and I have very little irritation.
This shaver is also super easy to clean. You can just pop the lid open and rinse it out when finished, then I just give it a gentle shake and put it back on the charger with the lid open to fully dry. I’ve done a thorough cleaning, taking the heads out, once. It was a bit difficult to get some of the plastic pieces that hold them in place to release, but after they did everything just takes a quick rinse and it’s good as new.
When I first received this I plugged into my PC to give it a test and it turns out I never moved it. When I want a quick shave I can do it blindly at my desk as Im working or reading. When I want a more manicured shave I’ll use the bathroom mirror and sometimes use the trimmer head to clean things up.
As someone who hadn’t tried an electric in the last 20 years I’m very glad I gave this a shot. It’s such a huge improvement over those old school models and it’s become the only thing I want to use!

Great intuitive shaver with lots of features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have never had much success with electric shavers. Most don’t cut close or have to make several passes just to cut the hairs. This shaver is great. Cut is pretty close, probably closes I have had with an electric shavers. I have very course facial hair so often difficult to get a close shave. This one works very well in fewer passes . Really like the color indicator or pressure and movement to let me know if I am doing it correctly. The intuitiveness with the app is great as well. I find that the sensitive option seems to cut best on my face as I have sensitive skin and the others seem a bit to aggressive. It packs up nicely in the travel case for portability. Battery life lasts several shaves and charging is easy. I do wish they included a wall charger for the cord and base that are included. Not everyone has a usb in the bathroom. Overall it is a great electric shavers and by far the best one I have used. Actually have been I. The market for one and this one fit the bill. Would recommended for those in the market.
