Worth the Investment!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thank you influenster and Philips for sending me this amazing complimentary Philips Lumea IPL Hair Remover 8000! I've been wanting one of these for so long! It's so easy to use and so much quicker than shaving my legs everyday! It comes with a fabric carrying case and two attachments, one for my legs/body and the other for my face. I don't really need the face attachment but it's a nice extra to have on hand. It comes with a manual and a QR code for quick video instructions which was super helpful. You start out by testing it on one spot of your skin to ensure there are no reactions after 24 hours. During testing, it detects skintone with the device and automatcally sets it to the correct setting based on your skin. However, I had to go down one level because it was slightly hot at the highest recommended setting. You slide the Lumea over your legs once every two weeks for 4 treatments and then only once a month to maintain. After two treatments, so far so good! It looks like it's actually working and I've had no reactions. It's very important to do the skin test! I believe I will purchase the other attachments as well. I am so happy with this device!

Goodbye hair, pain-free

I absolutely love this product. I have been using it for a month now and I am like 90% hair free on my legs. I used to have to shave every day sometimes twice a day now I only have to shave my legs once a week. Can’t wait to see my results this summer when I’ve been using it longer.
My skin is so smooth feeling and after every treatment you get less and less hair. The Philips Lumea is salon quality hair removal in the convenience of your own home. I love how easy and pain-free it is. The laser just feels like a warm touch to your body. The Lumea comes with a two different
attachments one for your body and one for your face. It also has a very nice traveling bag that comes with it so I can take it wherever I need it.
The Senseiq technology is personalized for my hair removal treatment and can read my skin tone and adjust the setting so that I have good skin contact. It won’t hurt my eyes and it protects my skin when I’m doing the treatments.
They also have an app to keep you on schedule so you do not forget to do your treatment. And that is perfect for a person like me who is always on the go. I highly recommend this to anyone that needs to have salon quality hair removal at home. It is definitely pain-free.

It’s like having salon-quality hair removal right at home, and I find it incredibly useful, effective, and gentle on the skin. I especially appreciate the two special attachments designed for the curves of the body and face (perfect for the female face below the cheekbones). The device uses three smart sensors: one to ensure good skin contact and prevent flashes in the eyes, another to read your skin tone, and a third to monitor temperature, keeping my skin safe. It has saved me so much time, and I absolutely love it!

Convenient hair removal

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wish I would have had Philips Lumea 8000 series IPL hair removal device sooner! Having dark hair means having dark hair in places you may not want dark hair. If there is a hair removal method I have tried it- the creams, the razors, wax, electrolysis- you name it. But, nothing is as easy as this handheld IPL by Philips. Just plug it in, line the sensor up on your skin and push the button. So easy. It’s been around 3-4 weeks of use which really isn’t enough time for huge results due to the hair lifecycle, but I’m hoping by spring break I may be able to ditch those razors.

Easy to use. Looks like it working

I’ve always shaved, but it gets exhausting — especially when the hair grows back so fast. I have medium brown hair and pretty light skin, not super hairy but definitely enough to notice.
After just three sessions, I’m already seeing less and less hair coming back. It’s kind of exciting, and I’m hoping that by summer most of it will be gone. The device is easy to use, and I really love the companion app — it reminds me when to do the next session and keeps everything on track.
So far, I’m really happy I decided to try it!

The quality is excellent, the design is sleek, and it feels very solid and premium.

You need to shave before each session, then place the device flat on the skin and flash.
A full session takes me around 15–25 minutes, depending on the areas I’m doing.

Great hair laser

I love that I can get salon-like results at home without the hassle. After just a couple sessions, I already started noticing smoother skin and way less hair growing back. The attachments make it so easy to use on different areas the body one fits the curves perfectly, and the face attachment feels super gentle. And I really appreciate the safety sensors… it basically does the thinking for you so you don’t have to worry. Plus, the app actually helps! It keeps me on track with reminders so I don’t forget my sessions.
