Used for almost a year – only minimal reduction in

I bought this photoepilator in January 2026 and have been using it consistently for nearly a year. I have light skin with a mix of dark and light hair on certain areas.
Light hairs were never an issue, but the dark hairs have reduced only very slightly.
• Underarms: no noticeable reduction at all
• Bikini line to inner thighs: slight decrease, but still a lot of hair remaining
• Legs: a few small gaps appeared, yet plenty of dark hair is still present
I’m not sure how much longer I need to continue using it to get the hair down to even 10–15%. Results have been very disappointing for the amount of time and effort invested.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow! I am blown away. I will admit I was some what terrified by the box I kept under my bed for a couple of weeks in fear it would hurt. But I am thoroughly pleased with the results. Zero pain! I am so excited to continue to see the progress the Lumea 9000 will have on my desire to a less prickly body. The amount of heat, setup and process is very minimal! Maintenance seems easy! Overjoyed by this product.

Long Term Maintenance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Phillips Lumea 9000 series hair removal device has potential. I can see it working if you have the time and patience to dedicate to self care. Results are not immediate. With that said, I do see that hair regrowth is slower and less noticeable. This is a good choice for someone interested in long term maintenance in the convenience of your home.

I’ve done 2 treatments on my face (jaw line and under chin) and have noticed a large difference in the amount of hair that has grown back! The only hairs I’ve noticed are spots I’m assuming I missed. I am so happy to have this as an option and I can’t wait to try different spots on my body!
