[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently upgraded to the 520 X after a little time with a 360 X. Wow what an upgrade all the way around.
Don’t get twisted; the 360 X is still great and will be in my bag for trips outside my office.
Firstly, it was packaged very nicely makes you feel like the price of admission was worth it before even putting them off. They have a very nice weight to them. Hefty but not overly so. I wear them every day in my home office for both work and gaming for work. They outlast the day easily. The battery is great.
When I am running meetings and alternating between showing media and meeting with my team the function on the right ear that changes the sound from gaming to voice focused is great. Moving it all the way to voice makes everybody crystal clear. They also fit snuggly in the best way possible. it’ll be great when gaming; I don’t think they’ll move around much at all on my melon.
Even the accessories are a great upgrade- a nice purple cloth, braided charging cable, a USB-C to USB an adapter, and a wireless connection dongle which when needed eliminates the need for Bluetooth. I like the dongle and adapter being JBL orange. They are much harder to lose!
So if you’re thinking about gaming or office headphones and don’t need noise canceling run don’t walk and pick these up. Here’s my review in one word: quality!
