[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a Z Fold 6 and loved it, but the battery was getting weaker and I like to stay up to date with the latest tech, so I chose to stay with the foldable phone format because it's easier to read and surf and yet it still fits in my pocket. So far my Z Fold 8 Ultra is working great!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had a Fold since the 5th gen. Jumped to the 7th which blew me away, and then the zfold 8 ultra. I chose the ultra instead of the wider model after thinking through the specs. I was intially set on the wide, due to the aspect ratio being a traditional 4:3, but after seeing the slight changes to the fold 8 ultra i decided this would be the best choice. Glad i did! The slight upgrade in length and height, along with One UI 9 changes actually fixed the small app complaints i had with the prior folds. Finally getting a decent battery upgraded and the much needed 45w charging speed made this phone everything ive wanted in a foldable phone. And somehow this phone feels half the weight of the fold 7, which is crazy. Holding the 7 in one hand vs the 8 Ultra in another makes the weight seem vastly different. Also, loving the new hinge! It is pretty snappy but i feel it opens completely flat in a lot sturdier of a way. Not to mention, the complete lack of a crease on the main screen. I knew the book style foldables would be the future of cell phones, and this phone is the perfect iteration that proves that future is here.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose samsung galaxy z fold 8 ultra for my everyday use. The phone is probably best currently available on the market, but battery still needs improvement.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose this foldable device for all the options and features. I love all the resources available to learn about all capabilities.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra because I had previously purchased the Z Fold 3 several years ago & loved it. This newest version is even better. It's bigger, brighter, more powerful, better camera & everyone that sees it unfold always remarks how cool & convenient it would be to have a mini tablet in addition to a phone. I'm in my 50's & my near vision isn't very good. I require reader glasses most of the time. But when I don't have them, I can simply unfold my phone & see everything so much easier. It's also great when im not near a TV, or on a trip without access to a TV, and im able to unfold my phone and watch a movie or sports event. And it's big enough so other nearby can watch also. The dual speakers provide enough sound and volume to hear everything clearly. I also like watching the videos on Reels & TikTok more clearly. I've been a Samsung phone owner for over 16 yrs! I bought the very first Samsung S series phone back in 2010 & have bought approx 6 Samsung S or Z phones ONLY over the years. I have never purchased any other brand & hopefully never will. Keep up the quality phones & foldables Samsung and I will keep upgrading to the newest model when the time comes to replace my phone.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose to upgrade from the Fold 7 to get super-fast charging, and an enhanced battery, and I am not disappointed. While there is little difference in the size or performance of the phone, the battery life and improved charging was worth the pain of an upgrade. Not that moving phones is the chore it used to be, thanks to Samsung and Android making the process mostly hands-off today.
