Great Set in this Price Range

Needed to replace my Living Room tube set finally, and wanted something to watch this years Super Bowl on in HD. Did plenty of research, and finally settled on the LG 47LS4500. Physical setup was easy, but getting the color setting just right took a little bit of trial and error time. But, really, not even a half a tick mark overall. Family loves the screen size and clarity, wife tries to camp out watching Lifetime movies...Thanks LG, Great Job!!

Mine must be a lemon

Worked fine for 3 WEEKS then TV and cable remotes stopped working unless held within an inch of tv sensor. Volume zooms to zero or to max. Menu items scroll continually. Remote sensor flashes on it's own. Worst experience ever for a new tv. Very disappointed. Now have to go through the hassle of returning. It does have a great picture but sports has motion blur and sound hums at times. I thought LG was supposed to be a top quality brand.
Pros: Quality
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

great picture for large screen

has the clearest picture of any 46 or 47 i looked at. never knew how clear hd channels could be compared to my older conventional tv. only down side my retailer has lowered the price by $30, since i purchased mine about a month ago. still a great value for the money... would recommend to anyone looking for this screen size.

Over all this TV is awsome. Everything from sound to picture quality is top notch. I have seen some reviews where people complain about the sound, but what I think they did not set up the sound correctly. You don't need a sound bar or anything else.

Did quite a bit of Internet research before buying. First 1080p LED TV I have purchased. Purchased for bedroom use, so 2 HDMI connections were sufficient. Both cable signal and Bluray DVD pictures are great. Really like the thin profile. Feel that value received for dollars spent is excellent.

We love the picture on this TV. The clarity is exceptional!
We have cable and it is comparable to HD. The menu settings take a little getting used to but other than that, We love it. And once again, we were amazed at the picture on this TV.

Two years later and I still love it. Great for watching fast sports (Hockey) and movies in HD and Blu Ray.
