This is our first flat screen tv we been holding on to our big old tv for 10 years but we both purchased 2 flat screens and I love the picture and all the things I can do ith it

Good TV

Overall the TV is a good quality TV the only thing is the sound is not that great. It has an ok sound quality but wish it had a little more power as my old TV had a little better sound to it. Also wish the illumination sensor worked the other way as opposed to how it works now. So the TV should brighten in lower light settings and dim when the light in the room is bright enough.
Other than those 2 things the TV is great TV.

Great features poor sound

the tv has a great picture but you have to have the volume over 55 to hear it when watching a movie. Would recommend a sound bar with the purchase of the tv.

Good TV for the price

We were looking for a lower cost TV without too many frills. The LG47LS4500 filled that requirement. Good picture, easy set up. I expected limited connectivity e.g. number of HDMI ports, etc, but was disappointed to find out it did not have analog audio out to drive a small set of speakers. (Nearly all flat screen TVs don't have decent audio). Other than that, we are happy with the price/performance of this TV
