Almost caught fire

I loved the product until it almost caught fire! The blade got stuck inside the pint and because of the speed the machine won’t turn off fast enough.
I could smell the smoke inside when I opened it.
The issue is that I’m just a few months out of warranty and while Ninja is very much aware of this issue (look at previous reviews), they refuse to replace it (of fix it for that matter). They simply suggested that I buy a new one.

I bought this machine 1 year ago. Although the machine does what it is supposed to do it is extremely loud. Company should try to rectify this problem. You expect some noise but this is excessive. It sounds like a plane revving to take off.

It was delivered Saturday morning and by dinner time we were enjoying an amazing sorbet! *We had a package of frozen berries to speed up the process. It was so easy to use and can’t wait to work our way through the recipe book!

I’m not sure why this is listed under ice cream maker. It does not make ice cream. It blends already frozen ingredients you have to mix and freeze 24 hours in advance. My ninja blender can do that.

Makes good dairy free ice cream

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Probably just me, but it took a little bit of time before I felt like I understood how to use this machine. I love that it comes with recipe ideas and the versatility of making different things like smoothie bowls, sorbet, frozen yogurt, etc. I followed the instructions of making dairy free ice cream with cookie add-ins. The ice cream came out pretty descent and the texture was just like regular ice cream. Easy clean-up. I can't wait to make more with this 11-in-1 ice cream maker.

This is our favorite counter-top appliance in our kitchen. It is amazing. It provides a healthy choice for dessert, (basically a dish of fruit whipped into an ice cream-like treat). We use it everyday.
