Amazing Ice Cream from Ninja Creami

Not sure where some of these reviews are coming from. I bought the Creami Deluxe a little over a month ago and it has been absolutely amazing. My favorite ice cream to make was strawberry, but now it’s something I call “Very Berry,” which has strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries. It comes out amazing with the recipe for strawberry ice cream included slightly tweaked. I’ve also been able to make Pineapple sorbet (more like Italian ice because I used lower sugar), vanilla, mango ice cream, and will be making chocolate soon. People have tried the ice cream and it is so creamy that it reminds them of an Italian gelato or sorbet. The machine is easy to use and clean. While it does need to be unplugged after use or you can’t turn it on after a period of time, it specifically says in the manual to unplug it after each use so not a big deal. Overall, have been eating homemade ice cream at least a few times a week and loving it!
I've had this for nearly 6 months and, for whatever reason, must unplug-and-plug in (every time) to power on the unit. Annoying, to say the least. I am going to wear out the electrical socket before too long. The outlet is on a dedicated 15 amp circuit. Does this require 20 amps or what?! I, anyway, otherwise LOVE the build quality of this item: solid as a rock. I bought this (and another for my daughter too) strictly for the Creamiccino mode, which was the attraction for me (although expensive). My first batch ended up leaking/running out of the "tub", which was a heck of a mess. I adhered to the recipe, exactly, and did not exceed the Drinkable Freeze Fill ( 1 ) and Pour-In ( 2 ) level lines. SO my first experience with this machine was regrettable: especially since the tub's locking lugs engage open cutouts in the bottom of Outer Bowl―poor design or corner-cutting in manufacture, resulting in a MESSi situation. Mixture ran directly into gap between bowl platform and housing's base. Needless to say, I was angry... PLEASE close those cutouts in the next iteration!! I, anyway, persevered (and refined the recipe). My wife and I are now enjoying my home-made Frappes, regularly, but the power-on procedure is frustrating.

Hi Blue, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re truly sorry to hear about the power-on issue and the leaking during your first use. That’s definitely not the experience we want for our customers. While we do recommend turning the appliance off and unplugging it when not in use, before assembling or disassembling parts, and before cleaning, you should not have to unplug and plug it back in every time just to power it on. To help resolve this, we suggest following our troubleshooting guide: https://support.ninjakitchen.com/hc/en-us/articles/10151979009436-NC500-Series-Ninja-CREAMi-Deluxe-11-in-1-Ice-Cream-and-Frozen-Treat-Maker-Troubleshooting-Guide If the steps in the guide don’t resolve the issue, it will direct you to our customer service line for further assistance. We appreciate your patience and are here to help.
Recently bought and already broken. Stripped threads on mixer after a few uses. What a waste of money!

I like that the Deluxe allows for half-container (12-ounce) servings. I had the regular Creami before and felt somewhat compelled to finish the whole 16-ounce pint even when eating it by myself.
So loud literally had neighbors knocking on my door asking if I was doing renovations to my house.

I bought this in December, and so far, I haven't gotten any recipes to work. At first, I thought it was user error, but I even used Ninja's recipe to make ice cream and each time it came out with the wrong texture and consistency. I really don't know what to do at this point besides make a review.

I’ve had this machine less than 5 months. I’ve used it MANY times so know how to use it. Last night, I was respinning some ice cream. It started to make a TERRIBLE noise. I turned it off and unplugged it. When I opened it, the paddle was in the icecream. When I went to pull it out, it was so hot that I burned my finger and had to use tongs to pull it out. It chewed up plastic and metal. I had to throw the icecream away. I’ll be calling Ninja later today

Okay the machine makes good ice cream and other frozen treats. But man quality is an issue. I’ve been through two units with the same issue. You cannot leave it plugged in. The power will not turn on if left plugged in for more than ten minutes or so. You have to unplug it and plug it back in every time you want to use it. Again returned two units with the problem and now on my third, same exact issue. It’s a serious design flaw.
