Almost Perfect

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ive had the Galaxy Z Fold 8 for a little while now, and “almost perfect” is probably the best way I can describe it. I love having a normal phone when it’s closed and a much larger screen whenever I need it. I use the inside display way more than I expected, especially for multitasking, email, browsing, watching videos, and looking at photos.
The Fold 8 feels fast, polished, and much more refined than I expected from a foldable. Once you get used to having that extra screen space, going back to a regular phone is difficult.
That said, for what this phone costs, I think Samsung still made a few compromises that are hard to overlook. At this price, I really think the Fold should have the same high-end camera system as the Galaxy Ultra. The cameras are good, but when you’re buying one of Samsung’s most expensive phones, you shouldn’t have to choose between the best foldable and Samsung’s best camera.
I also wish Samsung had included a built-in privacy display feature that could limit the viewing angle of the screen when you’re in public. With such a large display, it’s incredibly easy for someone sitting beside you to see what’s on your screen. A software-controlled privacy mode would have been a perfect feature for a phone like this.
Overall, I’m extremely happy with my Fold 8. The price, camera compromise, and lack of a built-in privacy display keep me from calling it perfect, but it’s easily one of the most enjoyable phones I’ve owned.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Tablet at this size and compatibility is just amazing to have. But oh wait! You fold and now it's almost as small as a z flip. It just makes no sense how good this product is. Ratio change was the sauce fold series needed and its good to see it in action. Battery life also definitely feels improved as well. Dont really have carry around portable batteries anymore
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had the fold 3,4, and 6 and this is the best form factor change since then. It's easy to hold and to use. Only thing that needs improvement is the camera. It should be on the same level as the ultra and this phone would be perfect.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the Z Fold 8. I love the form factor, the multitasking and the ability to unfold it. Using it as a big screen has been great for reading and watching movies. It's aslo been great for work related items for Microsoft apps. I have watched a lot of reviews on YouTube and they all have pretty much the same pros and cons which I agree with. I miss the flex mode ( I know the z fold 8 ultra has it) and I am not entirely sold on the battery but it is definitely better than the Z Fold 7.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose wide and short over skinny and tall. It's like a mini tablet with phone capabilities. Much better for movies, games, entertainment.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have been using the fold since first release until now, and this one is the best product have been paid for.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Iv have used so many folding phone since galaxy fold 2, the galaxy z fold 8 is by far best folding phone design wise. The size is passport size and perfect in hand and when opened feels like a tablet.
I chose the galaxy z fold 8 on the ultra because of the size. I just wish we got the 3rd lens camera for zoom. But zoom is the least important camera lens in my opinion. So happy with my phone. And I recommend it
