Nice device but software and third party apps flaw

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The fold 8 has a great foundation but needs polish. it'sreally thin and lightweight which is really nice when you're holding it but the hardware is only half the battle. Samsung and app developers properly need to optimize one UI in popular it just feels like the user experience is incomplete I regularly experience flaws with software alignment out of the box you know with the visual optimization.

Why I Rate It 5 Stars!

• Noticeably lighter and easier to handle than previous Folds.
• Much improved cover screen—comfortable for everyday use.
• Inside display is only about ½" smaller diagonally than Samsung's Ultra phone.
• Excellent for multitasking, AI, reading, and productivity.
• The commonly mentioned "knocks" simply haven't mattered in my real-world use.
Bottom line: The best Fold Samsung has made yet.
• Noticeably lighter and easier to handle than previous Folds.
• Much improved cover screen—comfortable for everyday use.
• Inside display is only about ½" smaller diagonally than Samsung's Ultra phone.
• Excellent for multitasking, AI, reading, and productivity.

Zfold8 First impression

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the ZFOLD8 mainly because of the smaller form factor. My case arrived a day before the device and I looked at it and thought it might be to small but I bought one it so let's see how this goes.... I should mention that this is my 4th Zfold device.
Upon arrival I was really surprised at the feel closed and loved that I could reach the entire screen one handed and not feel like I was going to drop it due to a case I purchased with a strap on the back which is a must have for a foldable device! Upon opening the screen It felt very balanced and comfortable although the key board felt like I was reaching further due to the extra width when it is open to get tothe middle keys so I went to a split keyboard as I use on my tablets, you get used to it pretty quickly. In the open position apps feel very functional and not difficult to use mostly... A couple apps are weird in landscape mode because they were not designed to be used in landscape but as with any new device they will confirm as people comment about it
As for video it's nice to not see all of the wasted screen at the top and bottom. Open screen doesn't play well with portrait video unless you change to portrait orientation but then its better than ever. Thank God for the strap on the back again...
I love how this device fits in my pocket and I buy pants that have a designated pocket for my phone it isn't hanging out.
Now when I see a huge ultra sized phone in someone's hand I think... What a waste!

Z Fold 8 is the Media King

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had a Z fold in my hands for the last 6 years or so. I chose the Z Fold 8 because of the updated aspect ratio. The previous folds have been great for the multitasking aspect, however the new media focused format is up my alley. My favorite thing to do is head to lunch and prop up my z fold on the carbon standing case and catch up on my shows. This fold feels a lot more functional for my media consumption with both the inside and outside screen. The outside screen is just large enough to maximize screen real estate but also be one hand type-able. Fold 8 beats my previous Folds in my opinion.

If you want to hold the future, this is it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As someone who works a lot in community and a way from my desk most of the time, having something that is portable and easy to use one handed while also having the functionality to turn into a larger format for some more intense work was always a dream. This phone scratched that itch in the best way! Although I am a long time Samsung user, this phone feels like the most fresh and exhilarating take on foldable tech in yearsI
The form factor on the front is extremely accessible and encourages me to use it while also beckoning me towards the inner display whenever I want to sit for longer periods of content consumption or multitasking. This is the kind of functionality that I know many other potential users are looking for, and the fact that it comes in such a light package is actually pretty remarkable. I chose to try and adopt this new form factor not knowing what to expect, but I imagine that this phone will go down as one of my all time favorites! If you're on the fence, do yourself a favor and TRY IT! You won't get this experience anywhere else.

Initial thought moving crom Ultra 26

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First the device felt smaller coming from a Ultra 20 series device, which I have used for the past 5 years.
Some things I would like improved.
Note mentioned in any reviews is the change for biometrics from screen to side button. It sometimes hard to locate this button and i find myself touching the top panel delaying unlock.
Like previous Ultra there is no screen resolution options, ar least that I can find.
I have a very organized app / icon approach which works with a single screen, size. When I repeat this organization on Fold 8, which I imagine would be same for any fold device. The icons are all to the left side and i have lot of empty space to right. I suppose I could move to a multiple page app management but that then would require multiple swipes to get to an app. I would like to see an option to manage 'full screen' view vs folded. There is option for seperate wallpaper between.
I also neeed to adjust my font size so overall minor adjustments and more adjusting to new form factor.
I like the weight, pocket size. From years of using a large smartphone, it feels refreshing to have a brick in my pocket.
I look forward to the coming days & weeks using the Fold 8 in my day to day tasks.

Great size for the z fold 8.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had many Samsung phones over the years, I chose to go with the Galaxy Z Fold8, and I'm really happy with my choice. The larger foldable display is perfect for multitasking, reading, streaming, and getting work done without carrying a tablet. When folded, it still feels like a premium everyday phone that fits comfortably in my pocket.
The performance is fast and responsive, the battery easily gets me through the day, and the cameras take excellent photos in a variety of situations. I also appreciate the improved durability and refined design. The crease is barely noticeable to the touch or eye.
If you're looking for a phone that stands out while offering great productivity and entertainment, the Galaxy Z Fold8 is absolutely worth considering.

Love love love the size
