Absolutely worth the upgrade!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the Galaxy Z-Fold 8 over the 8 Ultra, because I wanted the pocket size feeling of the Z-Flip, with the convenience of the fold-out full screen. I watch a lot of YouTube videos to learn, read kindle books and fly often, so it's very convenient to have a phone, kindle size screen and tablet in one. It's a dream to have it all in a pocket size! The new width of the closed front screen makes it very comfortable to read and type without needing to fold the phone open. I find myself using it closed a lot more than before, saving battery life.
Thanks, Samsung, for creating such a perfectly sized fold phone!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When the first galaxy fold came out I was thinking why would anyone need an phone that changes into tablet size when unfolded and after purchasing and using my fold 8, I really understand now the point of foldables and the reasons why people use it, after using it for an day it made my life really easier with the muti tasking and how I can utillized both screen for certain tasks.
This galaxy fold 8 will be my new start of my chapter and I cant wait to walk into my future with this amazing fold 8- Flying to future by folding and unfolding

I chose the 8 for the new form factor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I previously had the fold 5. I chose the new fold 8 because of the wider display making it easier to text and use the device. Ive had iphones and pixels. My only complaint with my previous fold 5 was that it was difficult texting with such a small keyboard the phone needed to be opened to even use. Since ive been using the fold 8 i havent opened it more than 5 times and mostly for videos which are huge. Im surprised the wider fold 8 isnt the ultra its better in my opinion.

Great product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose to upgrade to the ZFold 8 from the 7 and so far I have been pleasantly surprised. When I first opened the box, I was a little worried because of the difference in the front screen being shorter but I love it now that I've played with it for the last 24 hours. Super easy to type messages and emails and when open, you can barely see the crease! So far, I am glad I upgraded.

Amazing phone but...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The phone itself is amazing but can get a bit hot after continuous use. Also, I wish this phone had the sonic fingerprint sensor like the other newer galaxy lineups. Battery is mid tier, once the new ones get the silicone battery I'm sure it will be better. Overall I'm happy with my purchase and can't wait for the newer models.
One more thing, the hinge is not as transparent as before but it's still noticeable which compared to the new oppo products, this fails in comparison.

Great new phone

We'll see how it holds up but I've had folding phones since 2020 and I'm not too worried. The front and I side screens are very great and I'm excited to get used to them

How great is the new Fold 8?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the new Fold 8 to try the new size, but I am disappointed by the losses on the camera quality starting around 20ft away. In addition, the half folds (L shape) or tent fold (A Shape), don't seem to work that well. It actually measure up well next to my Fold 3, so I turn it long ways to type better, as the wide screen makes the keyboard too long for me. I also miss the full size of the cover screen. It severely displaced my home screen and spit the icons up weirdly over the other panels. Like the left over icons from panel 1, didn't simply get pushed to panel 2? I want to see if I can switch to the Fold 8 Ultra.
