This is finally a phone that does it all!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love samsung engineering. I loved the note and then the folds. I was very nervous about the new form factor moving from a fold7 but like all the review vids.... this thing is what phones should be. I did say that when I went to fold. Never would go back to old form factor. The big screens are just too good! I mostly used my previous folds opened only but love the option of a very light and compact front screen which social feeds and everything looks great on. Very excited about the ai and new creativity features. Thanks samsung!

Very good entry into foldable line

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off I chose this phone to replace a Fold 5. I do like this form factor. I mainly use this for day to day browsing, media, and light gaming. For me it was a good upgrade from the 5. But there are some deficiencies. The speakers are a glaring issue for me, they sound significantly worse than the 5. It is really thin and too lightweight. Without a good case that adds weight and grip it is difficult to hold on to. It does have a very snappy processor and apps respond well. Video on the inner display is were this phone shines. Crease is barely noticeable. I would recommend this phone for both new to foldables and returning users.

My first foldable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After debating about purchasing the Z fold7 last year, I finally decided to take the plunge. I chose the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8! I've been a Samsung user since the Note 10 and generally get a new device every year or two. Once I saw this new form factor, I couldn't resist. It's only been 2 days, but I'm already glad I chose this phone and style. Transferring all my 'stuff' over from my S25 Ultra was a breeze. I didn't really have to do much more than turn on the phone and select a few options. It just prompted me when I powered it up. Now, as much as I wanna explore the features, I find myself losing track of time 😆 because I can't put it down. And I can't believe how long the battery lasts. I've been streaming, watching videos, using social media, gaming, etc. And at the end of the day, I still had plenty of battery. Wow! The brightness, colors, touch sensitivity, all amazing!!! I really like the wider keyboard when I'm typing too. Plus, the fact that I can watch a movie on the front screen, decide to open it up for a bigger view, and it's there, ready to go on a bigger scree. If you're debating about it, make it happen. You won't regret it.

5 Star Purchase

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The main reason I chose the new Galaxy Fold 8 because of the big change in size. I couldn't be happier. My Galaxy Fold 6 was a great phone but with a case it was bulky and heavy. The Fold 8 is fabulous. It is so light and I love the new size. Its a bit of an adjustment but one I am happy to make. There are a few quirks with the screen (with different apps) that I'm getting used to but I am so glad I chose to go ahead and splurge on this phone. I love the speed and responsiveness. I've only had it a couple days and between kids and work haven't gotten alot of time to try all the features. But that's my plan for the weekend. If you are on the fence, I encourage the purchase. Its definitely worth it.

Great small smartphone with few shortcuts

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The phone is great and easy to operate. Batter life is surprisingly good. Having unfolded bigger view is great, but after few days of using it looks like "nice to have" rather than "must have" option. Would love to have 3:4 screen in different form factor.
The cons for me are as follows:
1. Camera is not on par with Ultra and not even as strong as few years-back model S24 Ultra.
2. The wireless charging coil is weirdly positioned due to vertical cameras location - horizontal location would allow to move the coil higher in the body and support existing Samsung's/3rd party accessories. Some of the accessories (like in car chargers for example Tesla's wireless chargers) cannot be changed
3. The cameras are protruding very much (incl. when in official cases) and the phone is constantly wobbling when on the table.
4. Many apps (incl. most popular social media apps) are not supporting dual screen configuration or switching views. The biggest issue is with games, which are in some case simply cut as if they still render 16:9 image which now is off-screen.

It's a great new form factor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the z fold 8 because I loved the form factor when folded it's great it's smaller then my previous phone. And when it's unfolded Its even better it's the perfect size for watching tv, and reading.
My biggest grive is the speaker positions when unfolded it's lopsided, and second not a lot of apps support dual screen form factor, but that comes with time considering it's a new type.
But overall it's fantastic

Nearly perfect compact folding phone
on August 7, 2026

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've owned both a Z Flip and Z Fold, and feel like the new "wide" Fold 8 is the best format for a compact folding phone. Having a 4:3 aspect ratio inner screen is best for many applications, from e-books to watching videos. The outer screen takes a bit of getting used to, but the width and reduced height make it a pleasure to use when quickly responding to texts/emails/etc. Two-thumb typing is great. Gripes? A phone at this price should have a good optical zoom camera (I'd rather have this vs. the ultra-wide included, but not a deal breaker by any means). Also, for a device that is geared towards media consumption in landscape orientation - why are the speakers on one side? No stereo unless you are in portrait. I guess that makes sense for vertical content from social media, but it would be nice to have stereo in landscape mode as well. One note of thanks - finally...a anti-glare screen protector for the inner folding screen. This was a huge downer for the Fold 7 and I'm glad it's finally been fixed. 9/10 Samsung, well done.
