Having a new phone is fun again!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose to leave Samsung's biggest competitor after 15 years for the new Z Fold 8 and it has been the best decision of my life. This phone makes having a new phone fun again. I can't get myself to put it down, I'm constantly playing with the customization that I've never experienced before. Also having the bigger screen when opened has been amazing for work. I work on alot of spreadsheets and they have worked flawlessly ok the Z fold. I highly recommend this phone. Everywhere I go people are stopping me when they see it.

Was skeptical of lasting, dependable quality..

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased the Samsung Z Fold but was definitely skeptical of dependable and lasting quality of device/folding screen in a less than ideal/harsh work environment day to day...especially at such a high price point. I have not had this device for an extended period of time, yet, but I am pleasantly surprised already with how practical and durable it ACTUALLY is! In hot, humid, and dusty work space...this phone has already taken a beating for 12hrs a day, 4 days a week and is still preforming as if I just opened the box for the first time. Screens (front and interior folding) are tough against scratches and hinge is still moving freely and smoothly. The overall width of this phone definitely took a bit of getting use to, as it is MUCH wider and shorter than my S24, but the thickness when folded is very similar to the S24. If you prefer a "standard" phone width and height, go with the Z Fold Ultra. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and will continue to see if the quality stands the test of time and environment.

Love the new form factor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a Fold 6 but hated how thick and heavy it was. The 8 is just as thin and light as a regular phone but you get a built-in tablet. Bummed that it's not s-pen compatible though. I chose to go caseless, with a front screen protector and a skin from Slickwraps.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had the Samsung 24 ultra and it was a great fit for me. When I chose to upgrade, I knew that I would chose the Z fold 8. I'm glad I picked because it's a better fit for me. It's small and I like that I can hold it in one hand. I love the split screen mode to be able to watch multiple things at one time.

Great looking foldable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the z fold 8 because I was intrigued by the new screen aspect ratio. The new size makes the phone look great and the main screen is made to be tailored for video watching. Youtube videos are particularly great on this phone and there are several other apps that work well that it allows you to replace the tablet. The downside is that the aspect ratio on some apps are still not ideal. Instagram especially, has black bars to the side when watching videos which makes it looke like it is wasting a lot of screen space. However, it has been a good experience using this phone overall.

This phone has really blown me away

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose this phone because I never loved the size of a flagship and the compromises of base models. I wanted something that could be small when it needed to and large when I want it to. This phone has been amazing in that regard. I regularly watch YouTube content on my phone and read Manga, so the inner screen has been an absolute dream for both of those activities. Can't recommend it enough!!
However, for the Fold 9, I am really expecting an IP68 rating and a horizontal camera setup, like on the S10 series. 8 generations of foldables with IP48 ratings is unacceptable, and the phone would not rock so much with a horizontal camera setup. Those are my only complaints of note.
