[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the Tumi Ventra Expandable Carry On for a 3 day trip with my oldest child; this nifty little suitcase still had enough room for all of our clothes and it kept them separated nicely too. The quality feels top-notch; the wheels maneuver very, very smoothly and my daughter was constantly wanting to be the one to shuttle the suitcase around because it moved so easily. She had zero problems moving it around and it never tipped over or got stuck anywhere.
I loved the multiple zipper compartments; I was able to easily keep things separated without losing too much space to organization. The non-elastic adjustable straps for securing clothing were a nice touch. Because they aren't elastic, they didn't squash my clothes, I could tighten them easily, and they kept things in place nicely even when the suitcase was fully upright.
Functionality this entire carry on is top notch; the quality is excellent, it looks sleek and premium, and using it was a genuine pleasure.
I was less thrilled with the amount of space the handlebar takes inside the suitcase. Because the suitcase maneuvers so well and feels made so sturdily, you do lose a decent amount of room to the necessary hardware for supporting the handle. Also, even when not-expanded it is ever-so-slightly too big for some of the European airlines I frequent. That said, it was small enough to fit in a tiny suitcase nook in our room.
In addition, the sleek and beautiful black exterior of my carry on picked up handprints like crazy and even after travel we still found some stowaway dog fur clinging to its exterior.
Overall, this suitcase is a joy to use; it has plenty of space inside, the expandability is excellent, it is exceptionally well-made, and it is incredibly functional. I'm a fan!
