The Perfect Carry-On

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Tumi Ventra Expandable Carry On is the perfect carry on suitcase. The black color is sleek and timeless. This most certainly feels and behaves like luxury luggage. I've never splurged on luggage, but using this carry on makes me wonder why I haven't. The quality is evident. From the wheels to the storage features, this suitcase is top of the line. It is lightweight, yet very strong and sturdy. The built in lock was quick to set up and helps keep your luggage secure, while the Air Tag pocket gives you the option to add your own Air Tag and track your bag should it get lost in transit. The wheels are fantastic. I've never had a rolling suitcase that rolls and maneuvers so smoothly. The handle is solid with very little give when rolling the suitcase around. I greatly appreciate the large zipper pulls. They are much larger and more substantial than a standard zipper, making them so much easier to grab and hold on to when opening and closing. The zip expansion option is perfection. When expanded I was able to pack for two people for a long weekend getaway with room to spare. There are multiple zipper compartments in the interior, making organization easy. I enjoyed the included laundry bag that allowed me to keep dirty laundry away from our clean clothes on our return trip. I also really liked that both sides of the main compartment had their own zipper enclosure. My current carry on only has a zipper enclosure on one side and the other side is open. I much prefer being able to zip everything up on both sides, as it feels much more secure and organized. All in all I give this carry on five stars. It was fun and practical to use, and I can't wait to use it on my next trip in a couple of weeks.

Stylish and exceptionally functional

Immediately upon receiving the Tumi Ventra Expandable Carry On I was impressed by the zipper compartments and expansion zipper. At first I didn’t even see the expansion option that’s how’s invisible it is! I love the sleek design as it keeps my airport look chic! Every zipper is very high quality and zips super smooth. I had this suitcase packed tight by the end of my trip and had no issues zipping it up! I packed for a 7 day trip with no trouble at all and the zip sections allowed me to separate dirty and clean clothes! The handle pulls up very smooth and is an easy glide on uneven surfaces from airport to parking garage I could easily maneuver my bag! The final star features are the built in lock and bag tag. There is nothing worse than having your bag tag block the handle because there is no good placement, this built in side tag solves every flapping bag tag issue! This is a must buy it’s definitely worth it! As someone who has flown thousands of flights the Tumi bag has amazing features that will make packing for your next trip a breeze!

Perfect Carry-On for Overpacking A-Types

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you, like me, are a chronic over-packer who enjoys shopping on weekend getaways, then this, hands-down, is the bag for you!
Let's start with the obvious: the bag expands! This ingenious feature gave me extra room where a traditional carry-on would have struggled to find space for all my thrift shop scores. And even if you aren't a shopper, on the return journey, somehow the same clothing always seems to take up more space. That expanding zipper really helps manage the homeward bound packing.
The second, not to be overlooked, feature: the bag is SO light. I mean SO light. I've had other supposedly "lightweight" bags, and those felt like bowling balls in comparison. Between the lightness of the bag, and the smooth gliding wheels, it basically walked itself through the airport! A lightweight bag is also essential because it helps avoid the dreaded check-in desk scenario... an overweight bag! And if carrying-on, the lighter the bag, the easier it is to haul overhead into the often jam-packed compartments.
Even though the bag was lightweight, it didn't sacrifice features. The dual compartments help keep items separate, so you don't need to dig through everything to find what you need. Having everything in its own place also helps me be mindful of what I'm packing (and what I'm forgetting). If my designated "sock" compartment is empty, I know I need to pack socks! The clips to secure clothing further ensures clothing doesn't arrive all crumpled at the bottom. I'd never used a TSA compliant lock before, but it should not be ignored. If you've ever had the misfortune to board late and need to stow your carry-on far from your seat, the TSA lock provides such peace of mind knowing that even though you can't monitor your bag, everything will stay safe! I was able to sleep without worry on a red-eye – no one was getting in that bag but me!
I'm looking forward to using this bag for all my upcoming trips. The outer shell looks ready to stand up to years of my over-packing travel!

Spacious, Smooth Rolling, and Built to Last

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve used a lot of carry-ons over the years, and the TUMI Ventra really impressed me. The first thing I noticed was how well it rolls. The wheels are sturdy, smooth, and feel like they can handle a lot of wear and tear. Even when the suitcase was fully packed.
My favorite feature, though, was the interior. It felt much more spacious than I expected, and I loved having multiple zippered compartments to keep everything organized. As someone who tends to overpack (especially traveling with kids), being able to separate shoes, toiletries, and clothing made a huge difference. The expandable feature also came in handy for bringing home a few extra items.
The overall quality feels excellent. The handle is sturdy, the zippers glide smoothly, and the suitcase feels durable without being overly heavy.
After taking it on a trip, I can honestly say it’s one of the nicest carry-ons I’ve used, and it’s easy to see why TUMI has such a strong reputation for travel gear. I’d definitely continue using it for future trips and would recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality carry-on that is both functional and well-designed.

Professional + Hardworking!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I travel for work a lot because I work in the events industry. And I ask my luggage to do a lot. Most of my trips are 1-3 nights so while I’m not taking a ton of clothing, I bring all of my makeup, toiletries, skincare, curling iron, tech pouch, a crossbody bag to use onsite at events/offsite dinners, and usually at least one more pair of shoes. And because I’m a planner, I have all the extra “what ifs” too. I was extremely impressed with how easily all of my toiletries fit on one side of the Ventra carry on and my clothes on the other. The compression straps plus the full zipper is great and I can see that helping me pack as much as possible in the future. I loved that both sides have the zippered cover - I hate the thought of having to open my bag somewhere and people seeing what I have packed, let alone things falling out! I love expandable bags because while I rarely expand them on my way to the destination, I almost always use the expansion on my way home so I can shove everything in and maybe bring a souvenir or two home for my family. I love that this bag comes with a laundry bag that I can hang over the rod in the hotel closet so I don’t have to put dirty clothes on the floor and the bag keeps my clean clothes separate from the dirty/sweaty stuff when I’m ready to travel home. Earlier this year an airline lost my luggage so I now travel with an AirTag - I love that there’s a pocket for my AirTag so it won’t just float around. The wheels on this bag are amazing and so smooth. When I’m juggling my laptop bag, my phone and trying to rush to the next gate, I want my luggage to just glide along with me and that’s exactly what this bag does! The bag is beautiful, the craftsmanship is superior and all the small details really do make a difference. I’m looking forward to many more trips in the future with the Ventra by my side!

Super impressed with the Tumi Ventra Expandable Carry On

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was extremely impressed by the Tumi Ventra Expandable Carry On, even down to the packaging it came in. It came with a dust bag and even the instruction tags were wrapped. It is an extremely sleek and well thought out design. User friendly without unnecessary add ons. I really loved the way the zippers can lock into the suitcase itself, maybe that isn’t new, but this is the first piece I’ve had with that feature. Overall, extremely satisfied.
You can tell it is a super high quality piece. The zippers are solid, the materials are luxurious and it seems like it will be really durable. I am using it as my hospital bag for my second child, but cannot wait to use it for air travel. But even for packing for the hospital, the design and built in organization really helpful. Love that it came with its own laundry bag, that is a realistic size, without being too large.
At first I felt it was a bit small when it came to available packing space, however, the expansion section really adds a good amount of room. My only minor complaint is that there are cross bars in the one side of the packing space which does impact available space when not expanded.
This suitcase is extremely smooth to push and pull, the 360 wheels work wonderfully. I think for someone who travels a lot, specifically air travel, it would make maneuvering the airport a breeze. My current air travel suitcase does not come close to the quality or maneuverability of this Tumi Ventra Expandable Carry On. Highly recommend.

Perfect Light Carryon For a Trip

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This luggage was the perfect replacement for an old soft sided carryon I had for a few years. I love the silver siding and the minimal look to it. With my old luggage I used packing cubes, but I could never fit them perfectly into it and ended up smooshing all of my clothes. This comes with its own zippered compartments and so I no longer need to use the packing cubes. The compartments help me to stay organized and keep everything contained and neat in my hotel room. I was worried I would not be able to fit my extra shoes, but I was able to fit them in the corners just like my old suitcase. I was also worried that the zippers would be flimsy, but they were extremely sturdy…even as I shoved more things in. That truly shows me the quality. I probably overfilled it this trip, but luckily it has expanders so I could open those. Even overflowing, it was easy to lift and roll around. I am so happy with my new luggage!
