Great features, terrible execution

I received my new vacuum about 2 weeks ago. I've used it probably 10x to clean up pet hair from my many dogs. Conceptually, I really like it - mainly because the 3 modes are easy to switch between. Additionally, the blue light is pretty great at showing debris that needs to be picked up.
After the form-factor, it's all downhill. First, I'm a relatively strong male and I was really surprised by how heavy it is. Every time I have to move around with a cord on the floor, I usually end up lifting the vacuum and setting it on the opposite side of the cord, but this thing is insanely heavy and cumbersome to do that with. Next, it seems like it has really poor suction. My 10+ year old shark navigator pulls some "fluff" from dog toys across the floor and sucks it up, but this vacuum barely moves a single, short piece of hair until the base is pulled over it (I went through all the steps for cleaning filters). Third, I think there's something really wrong with the motor. Whenever I use auto-detect mode and it transitions from low to high power, the lights on the same circuit the vacuum is plugged-in to all start to flash/fluctuate.
I'm opening a support ticket to inquire about the motor but so far.... I cannot recommend this at all.

Powerful vacuum for any area!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This 3 in 1 vacuum is amazing! It’s so easy to put together and change into different vacuum styles! It’s perfect for every room and floor. It’s very light weight and not too loud. It even has a separate dust compartment when you transform into stick or hand held that automatically cleans itself out when connected to the main vacuum pod. Any crumb or dust build up has no chance against this powerful vacuum.

I love this machine! I have quite a few Shark vacuums, and I had just purchased one a few months before getting this one. It is nice but this one has it beat! I will keep all of my other ones for backups. Main reason for getting this one is not having hair wrap around a brush. I have dealt with that for years and it's not fun to clean that out! I have no problem with this one - and it cleans both carpet and floor beautifully. And I love how it cleans the handheld vac!

Not impressed - doesn’t pick up like other Sharks!

I only have owned shark vacuums in the last 20 years and still have two working in my house, but I like to keep a vacuum on each floor and I saw this brand new one out and had high hopes for it. However, my fiancé has a skin condition that causes him to flake, and this vacuum was not picking up any of it…very disappointed for the cost of this. My other shark vacuums do a good job. I also didn’t like that I have always swept the bedspread and or a cover on the couch because I have pets and this thing just sucks it right up. I’ve tried every setting with no luck. Definitely not happy with this new version out.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The suction power is excellent, picking up dust, pet hair, and debris from both hard floors and carpets with ease. Assembly was quick and simple, and the vacuum feels comfortable to use thanks to its well balanced design and practical height. The power cord is thick, durable, and long enough to clean multiple rooms without constantly changing outlets, which makes the whole experience much more convenient.
The stick vacuum mode is perfect for everyday cleaning and reaching under furniture where a traditional upright vacuum would struggle. Great on all surfaces

I like that you can use it on all surfaces and can easily switch in between the different modes and attachments. The design is great and the cleaning is exceptional especially with the light and edge detect.

Probably the best vacuum I have EVER owned!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using the Shark powerdetect vacuum system for about a month now and I am absolutely loving it. This vacuum transforms into three different styles that you can use and it’s truly something I have never seen or had before! This can be a normal vacuum, a stick vacuum and a handheld vacuum as well! This has different power modes to use, and it auto empties when you attach the handheld back onto the base. This vacuum is so handy, you can break out the handheld vacuum for smaller clean ups instead of using the entire setup and it just cleans & empties when you re attach it. The lights at the bottom can really show you things you may have missed beforehand. The suction on this vacuum is great and it really gets into the carpet! I love that it has HEPA filtration as well to make your home extra clean. Also, the self cleaning brush roll is
amazing, no more busting out the scissors mid clean to clear a clog underneath. I absolutely love this vacuum and think it’s the best one I have ever owned. It is pricey but SO worth it. I received this free for review. All thoughts are my own!
