Impressive vacuum

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This vacuum is impressive. I vacuumed my area rug yesterday with my old vacuum. I just re-vacuumed with the shark transformer and the amount of dirt and hair that was missed was extreme. It maneuvers so smoothly around corners and under furniture providing easier access to problem areas. Nobody likes to vacuum but this vacuum definitely makes my life easier and cleaner.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Effective, Efficient, & Powerful

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I never thought I could actually like vacuuming until I used this!! The PowerDetect Transformer vacuum has been an absolute joy to clean with. I spend about 1/5 the time vacuuming than with my old shop vac, and I am left with a deeper and easier clean. It's lightweight, easy to maneuver, and I love how it automatically switches between suction power and type depending on the floor. The design makes it super easy to use as a handheld vacuum to get into tighter spaces or places you couldn't otherwise with the full vacuum-this was really effective for me in my kitchen drawers and car. Gross, but it was really satisfying to see it picking up so much dust and even better that emptying it was intuitive and mess free. I know my house and floors are going to be infinitely cleaner in a fraction of the time now that I have the Shark PowerDetect

Just buy it!

I never knew I could feel so strongly about a vacuum, but after using this one, wow-I'm in love! I'll never be able to buy a basic vacuum again. My upright and stuck vacuum were on their last leg, so I bought this to replace both. The 3-in-1 is a game changer!
Top features: extra suction boost when it senses it's near an edge or wall, auto floor detection to smoothly get what you need between carpet and bare floors, the blue light when you're on hard floors shows you dust you would never otherwise see, smooth transitions between the 3 different vacuums, auto canister dump after clicking handheld or stick back into canister, propel assist when on carpet, no more hair wrapped around the roller, and more! Even though I had just had all the floors cleaned with my robot vacuum, I went ahead and vacuumed every floor in the entire house after I opened this from the package because I loved it so much. I was amazed at the amount of dust and dirt it had collected from what I thought were clean floors. I'm a fan!

Worst Vacuum Ever

I bought this a little over 30 days ago and have used it many, many times before coming to this review. And now I can officially say this is the worst vacuum I have ever owned!! The suction is terrible. The features it highlights are only available in a single mode. You are forced to use the bulkiest mode for the reveal and detect and edge cleaning. I can super slow vacuum for 20 minutes and then go back over it with an older model and still pick up a canister full of dust and dog hair. When using as a stick or handheld there is no visibility as to when it's full so you constantly have to stop and empty. But the empty doesn't really work so I'm always having to unclog it as well. The only thing that actually works is the hairwrap. I truly dislike this vacuum and regret the purchase.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The perfect all-in-one vacuum

We've had the vacuum a week so far, and we have found a reason to use it every day. We bough this to replace our old Shark vacuum that we loved, and the new one works even better than the old one did! I love that it detects and adjusts the floor type and brush speed automatically. Having the stick vacuum to get into tight areas has been a game changer!

Great All-in-one Vacuum

The Transformer is an excellent vacuum and really delivers on the 3-in-1 promise. The power detect feature works seamlessly and the upright mode especially provides an awesome clean on all our house's surfaces.
Switching to stick or handheld mode is very smooth and makes it very easy to get to hard-to-reach spots. Vacuuming our bedroom in particular used to be a genuine hassle when we just had a cordless stick vacuum and had to bring a bunch of different attachments upstairs with us, but using the Transformer's different modes made it a breeze.
My one (very minor) complaint is that, as someone with two dogs who love to shed, I wish it came with an upholstery tool out of the box in addition to the crevice tool - something that previous Shark vacuums I've owned included. All in all though, this is a great product, and I don't foresee myself needing a new vacuum any time soon.
