Attractive, deep tray but toasting inconsistent

Attractive model that has a deep tray for bagels and large toast. The dials are useful.
The big problem is that when you toast a bread or anything, it is inconsistent. One side of the bread may be done as you like it but the other side is burnt. That's a quality control issue in manufacturing. Nice product but if it were easy to return it, I would. Buyer beware! I should have followed the Consumer Reports ratings!

Solid toaster with some funky controls.

Toasts bread quite evenly. Controls are a bit unusual, to stop toasting early, you must hot yhe cancel button. OG is to lift up on the handle to stop toasting.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Burns the toast.

Left slot toasted inside of bread a lot more than the outside of bread which is barely toasted. The right slot more evenly toasted but inside still a little darker. My old kitchen aide worked much better until it died after several years of use.

Not great.

Toaster seems to brown well on one side only and I need to use level 6 to get it browned. I'm hoping the toaster will improve as I use it more. I had a previous GE toaster that lasted and worked well for maybe 30 years.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The toaster is so delicious,,, she get things hot fast and I love instant “Stop” button but what really love is the trap door on the bottom to keep toaster clean..l
