Not great investment

I got this about a month ago and used it a couple of times.. i agree the ease of use is great but the results aren’t that awesome like the other products… i had to straighten my hair with regular straightener again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Amazing for everyday

I have had 3 shoulder surgeries and have long thick curly hair. I went from 45-60 minutes to 15-20 minutes and I can get the blow out to last a couple days. I find it a little hard to get some of my roots in the back but I am sure that will come in time.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Haircare Technology with frizzy drawback

I recently purchased the Dyson Airstrait, and here are my thoughts.
First and foremost, I must highlight that the Dyson Airstrait left my hair feeling soft, which is a definite plus. However, contrary to some other reviews, I didn't achieve the pin-straight results I was hoping for. Instead, my hair had a slightly frizzy appearance. While it wasn't a deal-breaker for me, it's worth mentioning for those seeking perfectly sleek, straight hair.
Regarding the heat aspect, I must admit that the air did feel quite warm during the styling process. This made me a bit skeptical about the claim of zero heat damage. However, I will say that compared to my usual hair straightener, the Dyson Airstrait emits significantly less heat and eliminates the need for hot plates altogether. This feature alone is a major benefit for those concerned about heat-related damage to their hair.
One aspect I truly appreciate about the Dyson Airstrait is its ability to save me from the dreaded in-between stage of letting my hair air dry naturally, which often results in a frizzy mess before I straighten it with a traditional straightener. With the Airstrait, I can conveniently skip the round brush blow-drying process that I've never quite mastered. It provides a quick and effective way to style my hair without the hassle of multiple tools.
It's important to note that I recently cut my hair short, and I am yet to fully test how the Dyson Airstrait works on my new shorter hairstyle.
Despite some minor frizziness and the warm air sensation during use, the Dyson Airstrait has won me over with its gentler approach to hair straightening. I will be documenting a video on how it works on my curly frizzy hair. I definitely anticipate using it more frequently than my traditional straightener, especially when I want to avoid the frizzy aftermath of air drying.
The Dyson Airstrait, priced at around 500 dollars, is undeniably on the higher end of the spectrum when it comes to hair care tools. For many consumers, this price may be considered quite steep, especially when compared to more affordable options available in the market. I felt this was way too steeply priced even with the pros mentioned. At a lower price, this product would be a no-brainer.

Doesn’t work on short hair

I bought the air straight thinking I could eliminate my hair dryer but unfortunately I could not. I have fine hair but couldn’t get the plates to straighten the hair on the base of my head. I have a bob cut. Also the cord is really heavy for a hair appliance and there is like a transformer box on it that makes moving it around your head very difficult (I got caught on drawer handles as I’d try to work on my hair) making the process less than ideal. Needless to say, I returned the unit.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

LOVE IT

Love the Airstrait. My hair looks so healthy, and like I left the salon after every use. I love that you can use it for both wet and dry hair, and that it is not damaging my hair! I have gotten so many compliments on my hair, and everyone is asking what I have done differently.
I always say, you wear your hair everyday, and with the Airstrait, your hair will look amazing.

I took a chance and bought this, hoping against hope that it would work. Amazingly it did.
I have long hair with an irregular curl pattern, prone to frizz. The crown layer is particularly unruly, curly and frizzy. I usually flat iron after an air dry and wear my hair in a bun when I don't have time to dry and flat iron.
This product dries my long (mid-back) hair in only 45 minutes. And the results are pin straight. And I don't have to use the level of heat I do with a flat iron. It's a freaking miracle. It would take me twice as long with my pro hair dryer (not a dyson) to do a blowout and I'd still have to touch up with the flat iron. This was incredible and worth every dollar spent.

I have very ling and thick hair. If I blow dry it takes forever and looks frizzy I have To follow with a straightener. This product has simplified my routine!!! I LOVE how easy it is to use! Great quality. Expensive but worth it.
