I bought this 2 months ago and If I have use it twice is a lot! It doesn’t straighten hair and the frizz that it leaves behind is crazy! I wish I could return it but oh well!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The concept of the Dyson Airstrait is genius, and I can only hope that with any new concept/innovation future generations of the Airstrait will be improved upon. I purchased my Airstrait with the thought that I could eliminate the use of a flat iron. I have yet been able to achieve these results. At this point, my Dyson Airstrait is an expensive and clumsy hair dryer for me. I do like the fact that the Airstrait will idle and then go into a silent mode when resting for a period of time. I don’t find it too heavy to use, but find that because it is wide, you will need to use very small sections of hair (2”) to get the best results. This has become time consuming, and I wouldn’t mind if I can eliminate the use of a flat iron. The motor box is the main reason I use the word “clumsy” it acts an an anchor for the Airstrait and can be annoying. It would be great if future generations came with the ability to dismantle the cords that connect the motor for easier storing. Also, a travel case vs. a display case, would be a benefit and would potentially increase sales.

Love this product. Easy to dry my hair. Great for a refresh the next day. Leaves hair feeling soft and shiny! I have long, straight hair with little texture.

I’m so very happy I purchased my Dyson Airstrait. I am 64 with long grey, silver hair. Every time I have to wash my hair I stress out about having to use heat on my hair, I can’t air dry, it just doesn’t look good. So it’s drying, flat iron, and when I want a bit of curl, I need a curling iron too. NOW it’s literally 10 minutes with my Airstrait and 2 minutes on the cooling setting. My hair stays fresher longer and I don’t get hair tie marks because the texture Airstrait leaves my hair is amazing! If I want a bit of curl, I can use my curling iron for literally a few seconds and I have curls that last because the texture is so good. It works so good for me, it’s literally life changing because I no longer stress about damaging my hair. This last month using the Airstrait has been so easy!
