$$$ tag one should be able to use it worldwide

i have been using Dyson for the better part of 2 years first the air-wrap and now the air-strait. The products do what they are suppose/design to do.
Pros: easy to use, in a timely manner, pretty easy on the hair damage (which i love).
Cons: Heavy, and for the price tag it should be dual-voltage.
It does not make much sense that after spending $$$ on your straightener you have to invest on another one to be able to use on trips. I'm returning the air-strait as I'm not able to use outside of N. America and S. America. There are other options (dual-voltage options) for just a fraction of the $$$. Hopefully one day Dyson work on their dual voltage feature. My Dyson air-wrap its not dual-voltage; apparently none of Dyson products are as i was informed after contacting customer service. But i was able to "use" my air-wrap in Italy with a few oops factors as the wrap stopped working and needed to cool down to be able to restart and so on. however i don't want to struggled with the straightener too and that is why is going back.
If you don't go out of the country you purchase your product from and have the $$$ this is the straightener for you. Seriously is easy to use and easy on the hair damage.
On the other hand if you are a frequent flyer like myself; research your options this might not be it for you.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This product fulfilled a childhood dream

I just received my Airstraight yesterday, tried it on clean, wet hair today. I was fully prepared for disappointment, my hair does not cooperate with hair dryers at all. My hair is curly, fine, and long. I only have long hair because I spend a lot of time keeping damage to a minimum, but it is very hard to manage and still sees damage. Every professional blowout I've had done still required the 45-60 flat iron treatment and then the volume wouldn't be ideal until the next day, and I always had a headache from the pulling. As a child, my hair was frizzy, broken, and tangled, I was made fun of all the time and it's a deep pain for me to have frizzy hair or wear it curly. I generally let it air dry for a day, flat iron it the next day (takes an hour), then I touch it up and use dry shampoo and dry conditioner which gets me 7-14 days before I have to wash it again. Today, 30 minutes and it's perfect with zero burned hair smell and no pain from pulling! I was actually crying I was so happy, my poor husband thought something was wrong. I've been crying off and on all day from joy. I don't know who this will help, I can't believe there's finally a tool that gives me the peace of mind to feel like a normal haired girl. This is all I've ever wanted since I was a child crying in front of my mirror wishing for princess hair. Thank you Dyson, you changed my life for real, I'm so grateful!

I have long hair, the device is heavy and doesn’t dry as well as other Dyson products. It’s really hard to get close to the roots. I bought it while in NYC, I wish I could send it back.

I love it!

I bought mine a couple of weeks ago. I absolutely love it. It is a real game changer. I have naturally curly hair that I have always hated. When I wore it straight, I would pull it straight when blow drying and then follow up with multiple passes with my straightener. My hair would be extremely hot to touch and I would be sweating from all the heat. My hairdresser told me that I had tons of breakage from all the heat. I decided to try the Airstrait, and I’m so glad that I did. I love the look and feel of my hair, and it stays straight until I wash it again! Check out my pictures. One is after letting my hair air dry so you can see how naturally curly it is. The other picture is after using my Airstrait the FIRST time!

Airstrait vs. S. Florida humidity

This is the best all in one hair drying/styling tool I have ever owned. I live in S. Florida where the heat, humidity and constant summer rain would always leave me with big fuzzy hair. Now, after drying my hair with the Airstrait my hair
stays straight with minimal dry hair touch ups for days.

Ruined My Hair After 6 Uses

Was very excited by this new product that promised no damage from wet to dry. I emulated the how-to video on this site but after six uses my hair is in pieces, split and dry as hell. Shame on your false advertising. This is being returned.

Just ok.

I really wanted to love this Airstrait but after two weeks of using it, I decided that I need to return it. The whole straightener is too heavy and it is not as easy to use it as it is shown on the videos. But also that could be me, as I am not as experienced. But the main issue for me that the straightener is way to heavy with the cord attached.

Amazing Tool!

I never leave reviews, but this tool is definitely worth leaving one. I have never had a Single tool get my hair dry & this straight ever!! Is the best money spent!! I have really thick wiry hair and takes long time to dry and straighten. This saves me so much time. Love, love, love it!!!
