Tried everything for my naturally frizzy/curly hair. Love my hair straightened but am unwilling to invest the required hour and a half. Airstrait enables me to air-dry my hair overnight and straightens my damp hair the following morning in less than 30 minutes. Not just smoothed, but absolutely straight hair that is soft and shiny. It dries my towel-dried hair in 45 minutes which would take 1.5 hours with a regular blow dryer. Unlike my flat iron, Airstrait keeps my hair straighter for longer - 2nd-day hair, humidity, and ponytail bends. Not sure why, but super happy. It is my new favorite dryer and flat iron. So very thankful that I made the purchase.
I love this! It’s a bit expensive but well worth it if you use it often. It only took me half the time to dry and straighten my curly hair. No roller brush, no need for the flat iron.
I've had it for about four or five weeks and I couldn't be happier. I've already got the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer, and the Corrale straightener, and I like both of those tools quite a bit. I bought and returned the Airwrap. Didn't work for me at all. But I'm loving the Airstrait.
It's easy to use (after struggling at first, due to the vague instructions and the silly, non-helpful videos, more on that later) and incredibly efficient. And effective! My hair looks fabulous. It does the things I've always wanted it to do for so many years. With the Airstrait's styling my hair becomes shiny straight, but with body. If you don't like the result, you can dampen your hair and start again.
There's definitely a learning curve, and I'm still on that. And I haven't yet figured out how to use it for already dry hair, for styling the second and third days. For now I'm just dampening and doing a quick run-through. But I think there's a better way.
As for instructions: the provided instructions on the materials that come with the Airstrait AND the instructions online aren't especially. helpful. They've vague. So I figured I'll check out the videos, that'll explain how to best use the tool. Nope. The videos are shot/edited for style, NOT instruction. I had the same problem with the videos for the Airwrap. The videos cut away just when I want a closeup of what she is really doing. I'd much rather see someone using it and narrating as she goes along...showing different techniques, explaining what she's doing. The videos provided are marketing videos. Seriously, Dyson, you need to provide good, high-quality, clear instructional videos. That's my biggest criticism. Otherwise, I love most of your hair styling tools.
I purchased my Airstraight knowing it would be a quality product but this is the best tool I’ve ever used! It takes only 5-10 mins and my wet hair is perfectly straight and silky. I love it!
I am thrilled with my purchase of the Air Straight. I no longer feel guilty about straightening my hair because this tool doesn’t not damage my hair. Instead, it leaves it shiny and healthy!
Set a love, my new straightener it makes my hair, soft, and shiny. I have frizzy hair and it keeps my hair straight longer. It was a little awkward to use at first, but it just takes a little practice. Probably my only complaint is that I can’t take it to Europe.
