I don't save any time with this than using a brush and a Dyson dryer. It actually takes more time - it does look sleeker but I'm looking more to save time. It also leaves the scalp moister than using a dryer - I don't know if I like that or not yet.
I bought this but wasn’t entirely certain it was going to work on my shoulder length hair or if I was going to keep it. There was a bit of a learning curve but I’m glad I hung in there. I love how smooth and shiny it makes my hair.
I have thick curly/wavy hair and I am able to complete the straight sleek look in about 40 minutes. While this may seem long it doesn’t compare to blow drying first and then straightening for two reasons.
1) a blow dryer always leaves my hair looking like a bush, frizzy and big
2) when I straighten with a flat iron I always have so many crimps, especially at the skull because the flat iron can’t get close enough or the heat causes it to crimp.
The Dyson air straight is designed in a way that I have smooth, soft, straight hair with no crimps and I absolutely love it. I think it even dose a better job than when my hair stylist does my hair. Highly recommend!
I received this beautiful sleek beauty tool as a birthday gift. I was so excited and felt so appreciative of this huge gift. I have curly hair and like to dry and flat iron it stick straight. I thought that the Dyson would simplify the process and leave me with a silky straight look. But it didn’t. It’s odd, my hair seems to hold the heat or something and it becomes puffy straight. And I get terrible static reaction, on both hot and cold settings. I tried to use a luxury brandy hair smoother to address the problem, but it didn’t. My hair just looks meh. Straight and puffy and kinda dry. If I want the sleek, shiny straight look I have to go in with my basic flat iron. I really wanted this to be amazing and leave me feeling I had achieved a beautiful straight style look. Please let me know if I’m doing something wrong or how to achieve the effect promoted on the product. Out of return window or would return and put money towards a decent flat iron. Thank you.
I've tried the Airstrait on and off for 3 months. It's plain disappointing for my curly, prone to dryness shoulder length hair. The motor box is heavy and awkward and the airflow limits how you can use it style your hair while drying. It leaves my hair looking dull with no shine or movement. I need to go back with a flat iron to improve the look. If you have a different type of hair and like stick straight styles you might love it. I'm past my return date so will probably pass on to a friend.
Couldn’t say enough it great things about this product! It’s perfect for going from freshly washed hair to styled perfectly straight in much less time than using a traditional blow dryer and straighter. I’ve never gotten more compliments on my hair than I do when I use the airstrait. My friends are always asking to borrow it when we get ready together. Worth every penny in my opinion!
I love this tool - it was super expensive and I took weeks to buy it, but I'm so glad I did. My hair is normally really frizzy after blow drying my hair, although it dries naturally curly/wavy. I can dry my hair (I do need to do it slowly) and have it look straight and ready to go in less than 20 minutes. If I needed to dry my hair and straighten it, it would be a minimum of 30 minutes. It's easy to travel with and I can even dry my hair curly if I want.
